Contrast that with FEMA having offered assistance to Louisiana even before Katrina hit (it was turned down) and that FEMA actually evacuated the majority of the New Orleans victims.
Let's compare and contrast: Sandy - FEMA opens a website two days after the storm hits just for New Jersey and Katrina- FEMA is interacting with state officials before the hurricane makes landfall and actually evacuates most of the victims.

Did he cut necessary programs there. No. Did he cut waste? Yes, and balanced the budget, too.

Ha ha. That's the same article I opened when I said that Romney had *not* sworn to shut down FEMA. And FEMA hasn't done squat yet regarding Sandy, IAC, as I posted earlier.
The truth is that 0bama has been far more parsimonious regarding doling federal emergency management dollars than even Bush was. That's what counts to me, not mere words.

And 0bama is the ultimate big government guy. Just recently in 9/11, 0bama conferenced with Leon Panetta less than an hour after the beginning of the Benghazi attack and decided not to spend the money to save the consulate employees' lives. This is because he thought he could cover it all up and blame it on a 'spontaneous' demonstration rather than admit how he opened the door wide to Islamic Fundamentalism in North Africa. 44875. concerned - 11/1/2012 12:44:21 AM excerpt:

My takeaway is that this John King interrupted Romney in a middle of a sentence, and Romney completed his sentence without acknowledging the interruption.
Perhaps Romney could have been a little more artful and somehow tacked on an acknowledgment of the exception that applies to certain Federal functions that virtually nobody denies are important such as disaster relief.
