took me a while, but I finally found this place. BTW, no wife - however, there is an O, not really a significant O, yet.
hi Diva - I ws lost at sea since about the last time we talked. 1598. racehorse - 9/7/2000 11:45:01 PM I have seen RosettaStone's work on TT.
Where is a good place to start on The Mote? 1599. seadate - 9/7/2000 11:46:46 PM Jeez, should I take a refresher in grammar or spelling? 1600. theDiva - 9/7/2000 11:48:02 PM Hi, welcome, racehorse.
Depends on what you want to do. Catch up on the discussions a bit, and don't be put off if no one responds at first, sometimes they get a bit worked up and don't notice.
I hope you like what you see and decide to stick around a while. 1601. theDiva - 9/7/2000 11:48:39 PM Seadate
I thought maybe you'd fallen off the map. I'll catch you in the Cafe this afternoon, I hope...I'm off to a meeting now. 1602. DocBrown - 9/7/2000 11:51:50 PM
Hey CalGal, do you still have your old analysis of personalities from the Fray days? That actually was a useful resouce for me a few times when I was trying to get to know certain Fraygrants/Moties. Come to think of it, you never did include me . . .
Maybe we should have a thread where old and new Moties alike can describe our impressions of each other. It would not be a starting place for new people, just an amusing reference guide.
1603. seadate - 9/7/2000 11:52:09 PM Diva,
I'm not sure, but I might have fallen off the map and existed in my own little waterworld for a while. Good talking with you ... 1604. CalGal - 9/7/2000 11:53:50 PM Racehorse,
Right now I'd say the active discussions are in The Slow Thread (education), the Anniversary thread (marketing and promotion of the Mote), Tunnel of Love/Tower of Lust (domestic violence). Home and Garden and the Mote Cafe are always active, too, and you can always post notions on movies or TV in that thread.
And while I know you're getting all the support you need over in Business/Work Life, you're welcome to post on any experiences in waiting for the phone to ring in Employment and Careers. 1605. robertjayb - 9/10/2000 8:42:20 AM .
1606. RosettaStone - 9/10/2000 10:01:53 AM I've just seen the future. 1607. alistairconnor - 9/10/2000 10:56:25 PM Ah, what a pretty image... The Mote as a disembodied smile, lingering on with no visible means of support... I'll buy that.
Caveman, why aren't you in the Promotion thread raising hell? 1608. robertjayb - 9/12/2000 3:53:43 AM .

Welcome to the Mote. I think Lab was making a joke. He's referring to the fact that this thread hasn't been getting a lot of traffic recently. 1614. Nostradamus - 9/25/2000 9:09:12 AM The Chewbacca Defense 1615. dusty - 9/25/2000 10:20:47 AM
Welcome alt /w att
Lack of activity in this thread can be interpreted two ways. This is a thread to try things out, to practice, so to speak. So lack of activity might mean that everyone is experienced, and has no need of practice.
OTOH, new participants usually need to get a bit of practice, especially if they want to use the HTML capabilities that this site allows, so lack of activity either means that we are getting few new people, or people who aren't interested in using HTML.
In any event, welcome. If you have any questions, shoot. 1616. dusty - 9/25/2000 10:22:36 AM Nostradamus
I trust you noticed that didn't work. I don't think you can just link in a wav file.
BTW, I think we have some rules about embedding sound files.
