10109. robertjayb - 6/30/2004 6:48:06 AM Fine British engineering let you down again, eh judith? Was it the electrics? Inspector Morse bitched about the electrics in his beloved Jag.
Give it up, dear. Go Japanese. 10110. Absensia - 6/30/2004 6:53:36 AM Bummer, Judith. That's a long time to wait but it's good you had your cell and AAA. I was talking to someone the other day about how much we take our cells for granted now, and what did we do when we didn't have them. 10111. judithathome - 6/30/2004 7:37:26 AM Robert, I think it was...it smelled like roasting ears, anyhow. (corn, for the uninitiated)
Abs, yes, I resisted the cell for so long and still only use it to call Keoni and for him to call me. But I was thrilled to have it today. 10112. OhioSTOPAS - 6/30/2004 7:24:06 PM Road trip! Off to the Northeast to visit family, returning on the 11th or 12th. Have a good Fourth, everyone! 10113. Magoseph - 6/30/2004 9:43:16 PM Well, thank you, Ohio, watch out for the holiday drivers.
10114. Magoseph - 6/30/2004 10:02:03 PM
Happy Fourth of July! 10115. robertjayb - 7/1/2004 1:02:36 AM Happy Canada Day, eh! 10116. Magoseph - 7/1/2004 1:45:14 AM Oui, oui, absolument!
La Fête du Canada 10117. Macnas - 7/1/2004 4:28:46 PM I am so damn tired, I wish I could just lock the door and go to sleep. 10118. PelleNilsson - 7/1/2004 4:38:14 PM Have a nice cuppa and all will be well. 10119. Macnas - 7/1/2004 4:49:03 PM I'm going to hold off until 9.00, then drink 2 large mugs of my canteen's godawful low viscosity tar they call "coffee" 10120. Magoseph - 7/1/2004 4:51:20 PM Taken by surprise
10121. Magoseph - 7/1/2004 4:52:11 PM Good morning, Mac, good morning, Pelle! 10122. Macnas - 7/1/2004 4:54:33 PM Nice view, hello Mago. 10123. PelleNilsson - 7/1/2004 5:05:34 PM Good morning. Mago. You are keeping strange times. 10124. Macnas - 7/1/2004 7:50:25 PM Was the Mote down? or was it just me? 10125. alistairConnor - 7/1/2004 7:59:58 PM For me too. Maybe it was just us Euros. 10126. Macnas - 7/1/2004 8:04:00 PM I'm drawing piping isometrics, haven’t done it in ages, so it's kind of diverting.
Or maybe I'm delirious due to lack of sleep.
10127. alistairConnor - 7/1/2004 8:38:04 PM Our little village is being visited by a plague (or flock, or coven, or whatever) of high school girls from New Zealand. A friend of ours, who teaches French at a posh high school in Auckland, has brought a dozen from her class to the Old Continent, and my wife has arranged host families in our area.
These are kids from Auckland's upper-crust WASP private religious school; and they've just had several days in Paris. But I'm willing to bet that the culture shock will be quite minor, global youth culture being what it is. Interesting to observe...
10128. Macnas - 7/1/2004 8:47:32 PM I think a "gaggle" might be a suitable collective term, or, seeing as they're WASP's, maybe a "swarm".
