I would probably have written something like “Cloudy and rainy again, it’s so wet outside, I can’t it...” It would never occur to me to think that the rain might be beneficial to plants or trees. I would never see beauty in a grey sky, nor would I notice the rain drifting in waves.
You did. Next time it rains, I will certainly look around and think.

Macnas, he go home now. 10604. arkymalarky - 7/29/2004 8:59:14 AM Wish you could be here, Mags and everyone else. I've been working on the house all week except one day when I was sick. Things are finally shaping up, and I'm glad to be able to reclaim the place after two years of neglect except for the most basic maintenance (and sometimes not the basics). It will make the whole school year more pleasant, despite the fact we're still in major danger of consolidating (right now we're about three kids above the cut-off line and have other problems that we must address to stay alive) and we are having serious local problems (too involved to go into here).
It rained today and it was really nice. Just what we needed after Bob finished mowing and weedeating the last two days.
