It didn't storm--no wind or hail--but the rain was unreal. I would have pulled over if there had been a shoulder anywhere. You remember that road, Judith? The problem with snakes (aside from many of the harmless ones, it seems) is that they're so hard to see. People around here get snakebit from picking berries and clearing fence rows and stuff like that.
