It's called God's Man In Texas and is based on W A Criswell. After the play, to which 8 of us are going, we're off for some home cookin' at the Dixie Cafe.

Is the Dixie Cafe the little restaurant that's in a house? I have a vague recollection of going to this place years ago that looked just like a little cottage but was really a cafe where I had excellent chicken fried steak. 11193. Currently I'm not online at home at all. I've been putting it off because I have PC repairs to make and other things have been more important to attend to, but my brain is percolating in other ways in the evenings now and it would be nice if my computer worked.
I want to get a flat screen. The monitor I've got right now is as big as my television set. What is special about it is the cook...he's aspiring to become a chef in a fancy place and he always does the "special" in really creative ways. He once made a salmon dish that would rival anything in a 4 star place.
Naturally, they do chicken-fried everything really well, too. And desserts are all made on site, not bought wholesale.

Our electricity had been shut off, and here it is the hottest day of the summer. It's back on now (obviously). I evidently forgot my July bill after we got back from vacation, and I always pay my monthly bills the third week of the month, when we get paid. I was miffed when I got my first water bill here. It was about $5, but it had a $15 dollar late fee cause I left in on my desk for a week when I went away.
