Hello, everyone. Tell me, Bill, why didn't the cat meow?

11250. Ms. No - 8/30/2004 1:44:02 AM

When my nephew's mother went to pick him up at school on Friday and explain why it was her rather than his Dad and his "Jeckica" waiting for him she told him "Your baby brother is coming today."

"No, he isn't. He's coming tomorrow, Mom."

Sure enough, he was right. Remind me to never disregard that kid!

Aug 28, 2004 2:37p my sister in law gave birth by C-section to a 9lb 8oz 23.5 inch baby boy with black hair (we're checking the mailman) He got a perfect score on all his newborn tests, is eating well and mom and baby will both be home from the hospital in a couple days.

Jess really wanted to give birth naturally but after pushing for over 3 hours they finally told her that they just didn't think the baby was going to come out that way. She was distressed at first --- Is this a sign that I'm not woman enough??? -- until she saw how freakin' big he was and then she was quite happy to have had the cesarian.

He doesn't even look like a newborn as I'm used to seeing them. First of all he's big, second of all because he was a c-section he's not all squished up and weird looking.

Well, he DOES look like a little old man and that's common to babies. Perhaps its the fretting and drooling? Kid's got a ton of hair, though, which he'll likely lose.

The Squirrell (that's the older neph) got to come meet him and hold him on Sunday. That was pretty cool. They chatted. I'm fully convinced that The Bun clued his big brother in about the time of his arrival.

Wish I'd started a pool!

Congrats to the whole family, Auntie No!

11252. Magoseph - 8/30/2004 3:25:55 AM

Same here, Auntie, one more to spoil for you. Both my boys had black hair when they were born, but that didn't last long.

11253. PelleNilsson - 8/30/2004 3:35:25 AM

When do you plan to get one of your own, Ms No?

11254. Ms. No - 8/30/2004 8:35:55 AM

Shirley, you jest!

Actually, I'm not opposed to having children, but it hasn't been a priority for me --- obviously.

I'll let my nephews pick my rest home. ;->

11255. arkymalarky - 8/30/2004 10:30:06 AM

Congrats MsNo!

What a strapping boy!

A friend of Bob's said all babies look like Winston Churchill. Or was it Alfred Hitchcock?

11256. Absensia - 8/30/2004 11:39:12 AM

Great news, Ms. No.

11257. alistairconnor - 8/30/2004 7:40:23 PM

Hitchcock, Churchill... Mister Magoo.

11258. Magoseph - 8/30/2004 7:56:08 PM

Salut, Ali! I sent you an e-mail at motetechs@yahoo.com.

Ms.No

Another little Ó Cuidighthigh!, the world needs them all.

11260. Ms. No - 8/31/2004 1:15:25 AM

Indeed!

Truthfully, if I were a really good Auntie I'd have a digital camera so I could instantly plaster my nephs' pics all over the Mote. Alas, I am a rather lame sort of Auntie and have to send my film out for developing.

I've got lots of good books and videos at my house though!!

Oh, the humiliation I have suffered.

At the supermarket I am transferring groceries from cart to car when there appears this bright, young cutie:

"Could I put the cart away for you, sir?"

"Well, oh, er, uh, sure. Thank you very much." And off she wheels, all smiles, to the cart rack, which is no more than thirty feet away.

She has done a good deed. Assisted an ancient.

What a sweet girl---I should have punched her.

11262. Ms. No - 8/31/2004 4:37:39 AM

Don't worry, Robert, I've been assisted by chirpy young women in the grocery parking lot as well and I'm only 34. They're supposed to offer to everyone.

Besides, if she didn't see you actually putting the cart away she can't really be blamed for suspecting that you might not do so --- in which case if she was gathering carts she'd just have to come back for yours.

feel better now?

11263. robertjayb - 8/31/2004 4:51:53 AM

No. She wasn't working. They have grungy young men for that.

11264. Ms. No - 8/31/2004 6:08:51 AM

Oh.

Um.

Well, in that case.....er....how 'bout those Bears?

11265. Ms. No - 8/31/2004 6:09:11 AM

sorry for leaving my toys out.

11266. judithathome - 9/1/2004 7:53:04 AM

Magoseph has had a death in the family and has asked me to let everyone know she will be away for a bit.

11267. arkymalarky - 9/1/2004 7:56:48 AM

Oh my. I'm sorry to hear that. Let her know we're thinking about her.

11268. wonkers2 - 9/1/2004 8:29:57 AM

Condolences to Magoseph.
