A house like that would be nice. 11522. PelleNilsson - 9/30/2004 3:18:25 PM Swedish stamps, recently released:
11523. alistairconnor - 9/30/2004 3:19:51 PM And which one of them is you, Pelle? 11524. Magoseph - 9/30/2004 3:21:54 PM
11525. Magoseph - 9/30/2004 3:22:46 PM I had something to say, but I forgot what it was. 11526. alistairconnor - 9/30/2004 3:28:29 PM That never slows me down! Say something else instead. 11527. PelleNilsson - 9/30/2004 3:43:00 PM Another recent stamp.
11528. RickNelson - 9/30/2004 3:43:52 PM congrats Jexter!
kewl underground house. I saw one of those in Southern Illinois. 11529. judithathome - 9/30/2004 3:46:04 PM Congrats, Jex!
I have such a wonderful husband...I can't get down onto the floor to clean the stove properly so he did it. My 50+ year old stove now looks almost as good as the day my daddy bought it for my mom! And works just as well, too, I might add. 11530. PelleNilsson - 9/30/2004 4:00:36 PM Alistair's latest prompts me to announce a quiz. Who are the four persons depicted on the stamps? A certain gentleman among us -- he knows who he is -- is excluded for reasons that will eventually become evident. 11531. PelleNilsson - 9/30/2004 4:01:07 PM Answer clockwise from top left. 11532. Ms. No - 9/30/2004 4:31:01 PM Lord, this is driving me nuts because these men's faces are actually familiar to me......except for the guy in the top left who resembles an actor whose name I can't now recall. 11533. Magoseph - 9/30/2004 4:57:25 PM He looks like Burt Lancaster to me, Ms. No. 11534. wabbit - 9/30/2004 5:07:47 PM Top right is George Bernard Shaw. No doubt I'll know the names of the others, just don't recognize the faces. 11535. Macnas - 9/30/2004 5:13:04 PM But... 11536. Macnas - 9/30/2004 5:18:23 PM I'll just get my coat shall I? 11537. Ms. No - 9/30/2004 5:30:10 PM Oh lord, wabbit! You're right. That makes top left Yeats and bottom left Beckett and bottom right will turn out to be the guy who wrote Juno and the Paycock or something. I don't know who he is but I'd guess he's an Irish author. 11538. Ms. No - 9/30/2004 5:31:05 PM Where're you going, Mac? Trying to scoot out the door before spilling the beans? 11539. Ms. No - 9/30/2004 5:34:28 PM Mags,
You're right. Yeats does look like Burt Lancaster in that picture but that's still not the actor I was thinking of. It's some contemporary guy who's in his 40's-50's about now, I think. I haven't seen him in awhile. He generally plays supporting roles and I keep thinking of him a bit sweaty and disheveled in a lab coat.
Gawd my brain is Swiss-cheesy. 11540. PelleNilsson - 9/30/2004 5:48:32 PM Yes, Ms No. Now you need only think some more, perhaps google a bit, and the identity of the fourth guy will become obvious to you.
