That would be great, Judith. Don't know what our schedule is like wrt 3-day weekends but of course we have Thanksgiving and Christmas, and two-days are fine too. If you all wanted to come in spring and we're not on spring break during the Jonquil Festival I could take a personal day. The legislative session should surely be over then, too, and kids who'd been there said jonquils are everywhere and it's really beautiful.

This is a stolen picture

Wabbit,

Thanks!

11979. ElliottRW - 11/7/2004 3:26:53 AM

Lovely picture, Magoseph.

I think if I showed it to my wife, I'd be changing daipers by Halloween.

Just read wabbit's "What Are We" page for the first time, and took the tests.

And, looking at my political scores, it occurred to me.

There's a name for north americans who score in the left-libertarian quadarant:

Canadians.

Ha!

11982. judithathome - 11/7/2004 5:31:21 PM

Arky, spring sounds fine for us...we will have guests here til after Thanksgiving and will probably be beat all through Christmas. Since I missed all the parties last year, I am for sure going to make them THIS one!

Seeing the flowers in bloom in the spring suits me to a tee! We'll probably be out of honey by then, too. ;-) Keoni boosted the economy of Hope with his honey purchases.

11983. arkymalarky - 11/7/2004 6:37:13 PM

Wow, that sounds wonderful! I'll look really forward to that. I've never been to the Jonquil Festival.

11984. judithathome - 11/8/2004 6:38:09 AM

Be sure to let us know the dates...I'd love to see fields of flowers!

Good morning, I'm alone today--Flexy is in the hospital undergoing tests that will determine if he can be operated on soon. After realizing that his patient was up in years, the surgeon demanded that he checked in last night.

So, this is the time for me to organize his office desk and throw away much junk lying around in that room. Now, I'm walking to the village to check out the new coffee shop, that is supposedly the elite answer to the other two.

Hi, Mac and Ali!

11986. Macnas - 11/8/2004 4:15:50 PM

Don't tell Flexy you're rearranging his desk Mago, it might exacerbate matters!

11987. RickNelson - 11/8/2004 4:47:31 PM

ya can say that again.

But checkin' out a new coffee hangout is a good thang.

I've not seen the health issue in the Health thread, so I would be catchin' up Mago. I hope you're doing Ok and all will be well.

Message # 11977 Mago, I'm tempted to post a photo of the daughter of the friends we visited this weekend. Sweetie. Nearly two. First-time parents, mid forties. Never too late.

Go to, Elliott.

11989. Jenerator - 11/8/2004 4:57:25 PM

(MS. No, how's the garden coming along?)

11990. judithathome - 11/8/2004 5:03:46 PM

Oh you missed your chance, Jen...you could have asked

MsNo, how does your garden grow.

;-)

Good news! Arky can continue to hand out moon pies and peanut rounds.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- Arkansas teachers have been told they can continue to reward students with candy, despite a state battle against childhood obesity in schools.

The Pulaski County School District had told elementary school principals last month that teachers could no longer hand out candy or ice cream as rewards.

But state Education Department director Ken James said no such directive has been approved by the state Board of Education.

``We need to be conscious of what we are doing in terms of sugar content, but we have not dictated to schools that they cannot use those as rewards,'' James said.

11992. PsychProf - 11/8/2004 5:42:34 PM

hey Tony...

11993. Jenerator - 11/8/2004 6:04:30 PM

Good one, Judith!;-)

Btw, did you get to enjoy the weather this passed weekend?

11994. Magoseph - 11/8/2004 6:25:53 PM

Mago, I'm tempted to post a photo of the daughter of the friends we visited this weekend.

Please Ali, let us see that baby girl. One of these days, why don't you post some pictures of the chic women Jen told us are in France?

Well, Flexy's desk is still in its usual disarray. I'm on my way to spend time with him. He called and wants me to hold his hand.

If you see A-4, tell him to come here and answer my question in the following post.

11995. Magoseph - 11/8/2004 6:26:43 PM

Tall, blond, blue, funny, literate. Taken.

I like that so much more than this--short, blond, blue, sexy, literal-minded. Taken.

A question for A-5--when it comes to survival, who is going to be still standing--the short sexy blond or the tall funny blond?
