He is...he even smiles at newcomers! Ask MsNo.

The snowman link again... it's the dance at the end that's worth it.

Geez..try this

12442. Magoseph - 12/1/2004 11:41:44 PM

Ok, I tried it, iiibbb, and got scared for my pains, naughty you.

12443. iiibbb - 12/2/2004 12:11:04 AM

Christmas scares you?

12444. iiibbb - 12/2/2004 12:14:42 AM

Certainly gets you in the spirit doesn't it?

12445. Ms. No - 12/2/2004 12:26:34 AM

Klaus is a sweetie-pie! I think he actually even remembers me when I visit.

12446. arkymalarky - 12/2/2004 1:54:31 AM

Awwwww, Klaus! Great picture!

Bob can't sleep without fan noise. We even pack one when we travel. We keep it about 68F at night and 72-74 during the day. I used to open windows occasionally but I was told never ever to open them when I went to the allergist this summer, and so far I haven't. Early spring he may just have to shove that advice in his ear.

12447. Magoseph - 12/2/2004 2:21:25 AM

Christmas scares you?

Let's say that I have had enough of the following: Christmas cards, Christmas trees, Christmas parties, Christmas movies, Christmas shopping, and Christmas shoppers. Call me Scroogette.

12448. iiibbb - 12/2/2004 2:23:34 AM

Well... it was the perfect card then...

12449. SnowOwl - 12/2/2004 8:10:15 AM

Heavens, Jen. My house isn't as warm as that even in mid-summer on most days. You'd have to have the heating on all the time if you lived here!

12450. SnowOwl - 12/2/2004 8:15:50 AM

Let's say that I have had enough of the following: Christmas cards, Christmas trees, Christmas parties, Christmas movies, Christmas shopping, and Christmas shoppers. Call me Scroogette.

We're not celebrating Christmas until early January this year (or I suppose it will be next year), because all of the family with the exception of #2 son are visiting then.

As a result I've got a bit lazy about Christmas shopping. I figure I'll be able to do most of it at the post-Christmas sales.

12451. alistairconnor - 12/2/2004 10:22:58 AM

There was a survey done quite recently which concluded that NZers have the temperature inside their houses too low for health.

I think it's because the early settlers here thought they had arrived in a tropical paradise and so built accordingly.

Considering they came almost exclusively from the British Isles, they were right, of course (at least, those that settled anywhere north of Dunedin...)

12452. neato - 12/2/2004 11:40:10 AM

Yeah, we deal with winters differently, because they are not as severe as the northern hemisphere(Dunedin and south excepted). I am colder here in Melbourne and The Hutt in New Zealand in winter than I am in winter in our apartment in France, or in other northen places I have spent winter in - Toronto, UK, Spain.

12453. neato - 12/2/2004 11:43:09 AM

Dear old NZ.

Wish I was there.

12454. neato - 12/2/2004 11:44:11 AM

So little, so feisty.

12455. PelleNilsson - 12/2/2004 12:07:04 PM

The coldest I've ever been in winter was in Algeria. The only heat source we had was a gas-driven contraption on wheels which we could drag to wherever we we were sitting. But on bad days we would carry the gas stove into the living room.

12456. neato - 12/2/2004 12:49:22 PM

Sounds a bit like NZ, Pelle.
I remember in Granada and other bits of Andalucia sitting around tables with large heavy cloths on them, and the heating source was under the table.

12457. Ms. No - 12/2/2004 6:36:52 PM

Okay, it was 55F in the house this morning when I got out of bed, but it's warm IN the bed so that contributes to my laziness about sealing the windows and calling the gas company to inspect the heater to make sure I can run it.

Grrrr. I just don't want to go buy rolls of plastic and seal up the windows. There's really nothing else to do though with the draughts.
