Only after we had a drink and ate our food, did we notice that the bar stools and the tables were occupied by only women. We decided to stay a while just to see if some men would come in--they never did, but in the meantime, we noticed we were being eyed with much interest. We're going to a Solstice party tonight...I'm taking along a pound of French feta cheese, two cans of baba ganoush, a jar of olive tampenade, a bag of pistachio nuts, and three boxes of pita chips made fresh at the Greek cafe down the street. We're also taking wine.

Finishing the paper by Monday, then I'm set to enjoy the rest of my break, I hope. I can't tell if it's going to be a harsh winter or not.
