13958. Ms. No - 2/28/2005 10:20:12 PM Depends somewhat on the dress, but in addition to being careful, a bit of a forward kick in one's step and a pointed toe prevents walking up the inside of a long dress. Plus, you can always just lift your skirts a little bit while walking. You'll notice that the pictures on the red carpet are usually of posed actresses rather than walking ones. Runway models get to kick and swish as part of their job --- it shows off the lines of the garments better. 13959. Ms. No - 2/28/2005 10:20:52 PM ha! cross-post 13960. thoughtful - 2/28/2005 10:22:32 PM Of course dresses like the one hayek is wearing are very difficult to walk in anyway as you don't have any room to move your knees. But women will do anything for fashion. If you've ever seen what they used to do with corsets and boning and bustles and things, this is nothing. 13961. judithathome - 2/28/2005 10:23:28 PM I think Halle Berry lokks far more unique with shorter hair. 13962. thoughtful - 2/28/2005 10:48:34 PM I agree...i liked her short hair much better. 13963. thoughtful - 3/1/2005 12:08:29 AM uh oh...i think the flu is hitting in earnest here. the nursing home where MIL is just reopened after a 10-day quarantine.
