14798. Magoseph - 5/3/2005 2:29:34 PM I'd never think you were, Mac. I'm just trying to get some traffic in here, desperately.... 14799. Macnas - 5/3/2005 3:01:20 PM You should learn to appreciate the quite times Mago.. 14800. Macnas - 5/3/2005 3:16:22 PM Quiet.
Note, this is a spelling correction, not a request. 14801. Magoseph - 5/3/2005 4:18:30 PM Yes, Mac, knowing how to appreciate the quiet times is a skill I never possessed, but lately I notice that my husband is slowing down considerably and I see that am adjusting to his pace rather well, so there is hope for me. 14802. judithathome - 5/3/2005 5:27:57 PM Yeah, but sometimes you just want a little NOISE! 14803. arkymalarky - 5/3/2005 6:00:18 PM Mose used to crack me up imitating her 5th grade teacher (whom I've known a long time): "GET QUITE!"
That's how she actually pronounced "quiet." 14804. Magoseph - 5/3/2005 6:00:26 PM Last week, when my daughter-in-law met for our monthly haircuts was a time I couldn't live every week, Judith. It was a lot of noise for little old me. 14805. Magoseph - 5/3/2005 6:10:10 PM Hey, Arky dear, tell us how you feel. 14806. judithathome - 5/3/2005 6:11:03 PM And tell me if it's cold...I'm chilled here. 14807. arkymalarky - 5/3/2005 6:18:44 PM Hey Mags and Judith.
I'm somewhat sore and slow, but feeling very good otherwise. I've started my mile a day of walking and it's going fine. I've got a huge pile of work to catch up on this week, including income tax, which we never got around to.
It was really cold here yesterday (high of about 60F), but is a bit better today--mid-60s.
BTW, it's probably obvious, but the teacher is the one who pronounced "quiet" as "quite," not Mose. 14808. Magoseph - 5/3/2005 6:34:03 PM Take your time to get well, Arky--I had a colon operation in 1996 and to this day, I regret to have taken a difficult job too early. I was so stressed out and sick that I had to take a year off in order to recover completely. 14809. arkymalarky - 5/3/2005 8:10:30 PM Oh my.
Among the good advice I've gotten were several warnings along that line from people who'd done too much too early. At first I didn't understand why they'd push themselves into such a situation, but it is hard after three weeks not to just say "to hell with it" and do things I'm wanting to do around here. 14810. Magoseph - 5/3/2005 9:15:31 PM My advice to you is this: Do not anything that needs to be done--just rest! I know what I am saying, Arky.
14811. Max Macks - 5/3/2005 9:21:01 PM Well howdy Moters,
and especially howdy to Magoseph who has become
a regular in my forum WERDZ
While my old pal Judithathome has gone missing *wink*
arky , I't been really cold here also. I see that it has or is colder than usual in many places
14812. alistairConnor - 5/3/2005 9:44:56 PM It's been hot as hell over here in France Max. 14813. judithathome - 5/3/2005 10:26:29 PM Hi, Max! Not missing, just inordinately busy. 14814. arkymalarky - 5/4/2005 1:24:14 AM Thanks Mags!
Hey Max. Don't know what the deal is, but the last few years it seems like we have a few warm days in May--usually on the day of the week I have lunch duty on campus at work. But that doesn't matter right now. Heh. 14815. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 5/4/2005 5:20:51 AM FYI Drive-by:

14816. Macnas - 5/4/2005 8:38:24 AM Good man Wiz, great to see you. 14817. Magoseph - 5/4/2005 9:53:27 AM Wiz, I was thinking that maybe you were in Italy lately—the painting above makes me think of “Oversand Station, Early Light”. I love the way you render light and brass tones in your paintings. It is weird to me that you come back just now because when I posted #14793, I thought of you.
