15394. Magoseph - 6/8/2005 9:50:26 PM The gene for violet eyes is a recessive one and very rare. What makes Taylor's eyes so beautiful is the fact that her eyeslashes are very dark and very thick naturally. 15395. Ms. No - 6/8/2005 9:54:16 PM The mother of a old bandmate of mine is the only person I've ever met who actually has violet eyes. They're quite amazing. 15396. Magoseph - 6/8/2005 10:15:29 PM I believe her eyes are violet--they have been described as such long before lenses were commonly used. What is odd is the fact that she had two sets of eyelashes for each eyes.
15397. wonkers2 - 6/8/2005 11:21:27 PM Whatever color, they are riveting. 15398. Ulgine Barrows - 6/9/2005 4:44:11 AM You are such an interesting lot, moties.
I've nothing good to add, still stuck in some kind of quagmire of the soul.
Reading what you're up to is soothing, oddly. 15399. concerned - 6/9/2005 4:46:23 AM What is the human race's destiny? 15400. Ulgine Barrows - 6/9/2005 6:44:25 AM Hey concerned, ya talking to me? Or taking a poll?
Time stands still, when there's no clear destination.
15401. alistairConnor - 6/9/2005 6:54:40 AM Here's a friendly hand to pull you out of the bog... leave those boots behind and walk lightly. 15402. Magoseph - 6/9/2005 9:58:29 AM What is the human race's destiny?
I’ll bite, concerned dear-- The destiny of the human race is obliteration, unless it can advance technically to the point that it can leave this solar system. In the meantime, what is the color of your eyes?
Hello, Ulgines and Ali!
15403. alistairconnor - 6/9/2005 12:39:49 PM What is the human race's destiny?
None of the above. Meaningless question. 15404. alistairconnor - 6/9/2005 12:40:24 PM Don't mind me. Just doing a "bah humbug". 15405. Macnas - 6/9/2005 2:17:55 PM "What is the human race's destiny?"
I think the film "The Matrix" answered all my questions on this matter. 15406. Macnas - 6/9/2005 2:18:52 PM Or maybe "Brazil", one or the other anyway. 15407. concerned - 6/9/2005 3:47:51 PM I haven't seen 'Brazil', yet.
Magoseph - my eyes are blue. 15408. Ms. No - 6/9/2005 3:55:36 PM Mags & Wonk,
I didn't mean to imply that Elizabeth Taylor's eyes are not violet --- I've always heard them described as such --- but the only person I've ever actually met in the flesh, as opposed to having seen a picture or film of, is my friend's mother. 15409. Magoseph - 6/9/2005 4:42:05 PM Actually, Ms. No, I was responding to Ronski, not you. I believe in violet eyes because my sister, the ex-nun, has them, mean sister that she is.
15410. Macnas - 6/9/2005 4:44:48 PM A mean violet eye'd ex-nun for a sister.
Some people have all the luck. My eyes are green. 15411. PelleNilsson - 6/9/2005 4:46:24 PM Poor Ms. No. So few human contacts. 15412. Ms. No - 6/9/2005 5:26:24 PM hahaha, I did say that didn't I? 15413. Ms. No - 6/9/2005 5:45:22 PM Mac,
I'm quite envious. My brother's eyes are green like our father's. My mother and I have brown like her father, but the three of us are oddities in the family. Both grandparents and all their sons on my father's side have blue or green eyes as do most of their cousins and aunts and uncles.
They got all the tall genes as well.
Now that I think about it, most of my mother's family have light eyes as well.
Wonder what color eyes the mailman had.....
