Save the Mice? We need a Kill the Mice game!

Arky, it's a simple but addictive little game. You only get 10 levels free and then it asks if you want to buy the 50 level version, but 10 is plenty to play with for an hour or so.

If I don't get/take the Iraq Vets Coordinator position with Swords-to-Plowshares, I think I'll take German

In deinem Kopf sind Staudämme aus Scheiße und die Pisse rinnt in Strömen

My kinda language!

Hey Max!

MsNo,

I tried it for just a minute, but couldn't figure out how to get the mice to go. I'll try it again, because it usually takes me a few times of playing before I figure things out. I got hooked on games on www.freearcade.com, and the best I could tell it never gave me problems with spyware or anything. I also found a cool maze game where you try to move cars out of a "lot," but I never could find it again, even after having bookmarked the site.

Dad got hooked on one he got from Slate where you group numbers into boxes, but it was a "free trial" and I hate those. I can't remember what it was called. It was a Japanese invention, I think. I'd rather get part of the game free and then buy the full version if I can't stand to live without it. If I had a PlayStation I'd be a completely useless human.

Good luck, Jex. Let us know what happens (or I guess we'll figure it out when you start posting in German).

We had a wonderful and much needed thunder shower--1.5 inches.

Just wait.

It took me 20 years but it came..and according to my doc, will get worse every year until I die.

See all them grasses that turned brown for the summer? When the tree and wildflowers begin to bloom and the winds whip in especially the hot ones offshore, all that crap gets blown over you and into your nasal passages.

Like clockwork whatever is blooming or dying in late March and again in late-May....

Acid Flashback????

Procol Harum - Fillmore East - 1970

I saw that year in New Orleans at a place called the Warehouse. A brick warehouse near the docks. Low ceiling. 3000 capacity..blasted out of my mind...

15791. alistairconnor - 7/13/2005 10:43:17 AM

Tell you what Jex, the night before last I saw...

George Clinton. Mister Funkadelic, Parliament, PFunk etc...

The only thing I actually knew of his was Flashlight -- that must be... something like thirty years ago.

I really liked it at the time... but secretly. Funk could not be cool among my peers...

I really enjoyed the concert. I was thinking, this reminds me of Frank Zappa... I was into that 30 years ago... and just then, there's a four-bar direct quote from "I am the slime"!

Jokester, that Clinton. There were quite a few other flashback moments in the concert -- tribute, not parody. or so my companion told me, I was too old to get most of them. (Bon Jovi? Who that?)

15792. Magoseph - 7/13/2005 1:07:01 PM

Arky, Flexy wants to thank you for your very interesting information in respect to allergies and how you and others cope with them. He learned quite a bit that he was unaware of and is most appreciative.

15793. Magoseph - 7/13/2005 1:08:25 PM

Ali, you're still at the same work place, aren't you--I mean, the e-mail address there is still operative--correct?

15794. arkymalarky - 7/13/2005 3:48:03 PM

Ooooh, Alistair, I'm SOOOO envious! I only have one album by them from high school, but I still play it occasionally and I love it. Their website is neat, too--just like you would expect. Someone (I think Diva) linked it a long time ago, but I don't remember the url and don't have it bookmarked.

Jex,

One of Bob's very favorite songs in the entire universe is Whiter Shade of Pale. He taught Mose to play it on the piano when she was about four.

15795. arkymalarky - 7/13/2005 3:53:11 PM

That's great, Mags! Tell Flexy he's most welcome. The big word that I had to learn was PREVENTION. Just treating symptoms won't do it.

Here in southern AR it's such a daily fact of life for so many people that there's a bunch of good advice to be had, but I didn't start taking it until a year or so ago when I got to feeling so constantly bad that I couldn't function. My brother kept telling me, "When you feel bad enough, you'll do something," and I finally did. I haven't had the nasal surgery like he did, though, and I don't think I'll need it (I certainly hope not, anyway). Besides, getting the surgery is not a permanent fix if you don't do the maintenance when you're allergic. All that crap will come right back and you'll be just as bad off.

15796. alistairconnor - 7/13/2005 4:39:24 PM

Mago, yes, that address is still good...

... but only for a couple of months....

... had an interview at lunchtime for my next job. I haven't got the official OK yet but it's clearly all OK. Once it's in writing, I'll resign and try to negotiate down the three-month notice period. I'd like to be out of here in September.

... one other thing Mago... I'm out of here in half an hour, and on holiday until the 25th. But I think you have my home email?

15797. Magoseph - 7/13/2005 5:52:12 PM

I have your work's e-mail, not your home's, Ali.

15798. PelleNilsson - 7/13/2005 6:07:01 PM

The Salade Niçoise was very good according to Flexy and he ate most of it. Sorry, he said, I couldn't stop.

Flexy is obvously a man of exquisite and impeccable taste.

Your vinaigrette looks interseting, Mago. I saved the recipe. But are you sure there shouldn't be some oil in there? Most tastes don't develop well in the absence of fat.

We are back from the countryside a bit earlier than planned because Christina hurt her knee. Nothing serious, but the cottage is not the place for rest and recuperation.

15799. jexster - 7/13/2005 6:11:24 PM

AC I tell ya one thing...guarantee you hadn't ingested 1500 micrograms of LSD either..makes all the dif in the world..ah the good old days of acid revolution

15800. jexster - 7/13/2005 6:12:27 PM

Bon Jovi..what we used to call Bubblegum back in the day
