My reading group was thinking about using it since it's easier than emailing the whole list every time we pass around a file. My only concern was how vulnerable it might be to viruses, but it appears that unless you've got a friend who's going to send you one you're not going to have any problems. Only people on your list can contact or even see you.

Oddly enough, Mago, I did bring the girlfriend... she's the climbing instructor.

Oh, that's so great, Ali, and what a lucky man you are to have four of the same gender with you and loving you.

Hi, Mac!

16421. Macnas - 9/2/2005 11:22:49 AM

Hello Mago.

16422. Magoseph - 9/2/2005 2:36:42 PM

Have a nice weekend, Mac!

16423. Macnas - 9/2/2005 4:30:03 PM

You too Mago, say hello to Flexi (and Butch) for me.
See you Monday.

16424. PelleNilsson - 9/2/2005 6:59:37 PM

We are off to the countryside tomorrow to enjoy the last days of summer and close the place down. See you next weekend.

16425. Jenerator - 9/2/2005 7:18:15 PM

I wish we were in the final days of summer. At 10:00 am it was already 92 F.

16426. Magoseph - 9/2/2005 7:25:11 PM

It's seventy degrees here for a change, no clouds, but the mosquitoes are murderous because of the humidity. They're everywhere and I can't go out. At least, though, the windows are all open, no air-conditioned and the birdies are entertaining us.

16427. Magoseph - 9/2/2005 7:26:19 PM

How is your mom doing, Jen? Have you gotten after the staff and made her more comfortable?

16428. Jenerator - 9/2/2005 7:40:31 PM

Thanks for asking, Mags. I am so frustrated. My mom was released today and no one knew what to do at the hospital.

I can't even get her surgeon to return a call.

My mom is doing alright. I am presonally concerned about her medications and lack of strength (she needs therapy, IMO), but no one listens to what I have to say.

16429. Magoseph - 9/2/2005 8:41:20 PM

Call her insurance purveyor and find out if, for an operation like your mother had, physical therapy is covered and if it is, go after the doctor.

16430. judithathome - 9/2/2005 9:25:50 PM

Get a patient advocate, Jen.

16431. Ulgine Barrows - 9/3/2005 4:33:18 AM

Take time off from work and care for your mom, Jenerator.

16432. Magoseph - 9/3/2005 11:00:38 AM

Jen is working only part-time, Ulgine, and she's taking care of her mother. She's having her baby in a couple of weeks.

How strange is this life when a son’s new girlfriend wants to move in with him because this way, she can offer her apartment to a couple with kids from Biloxi and pay herself the rent until December when her lease expires! How can one object to such a decision even when one believes it is far too early for the youngest son to move in with anybody, especially after a bitter divorce?

This is a time to shut one’s mouth, Mother dear, says the wise eldest son.

16435. Magoseph - 9/4/2005 2:57:28 PM

... until December when her lease expires!

No, until January, actually.

16436. judithathome - 9/4/2005 6:40:36 PM

What one does in that instance, Magoseph, is be thankful youngest son has met such a stellar young lady...you did mean she would continue to pay the rent, right? I think this shows not only a generous heart but a woman you should be proud to one day have in your family. She sounds like a truly remarkable young woman...and knowing your son, she's probably adorable, too. ;-)

16437. Magoseph - 9/4/2005 6:54:36 PM

Judith, she will pay the rent for the evacuees. I didn't word the sentence correctly.

16438. arkymalarky - 9/4/2005 8:54:48 PM

That's wonderful, Mags.

Our name is in with the local shelter to provide housing, and I'm going to follow up in person Tuesday if they don't call before then. Mose called to volunteer at another shelter and they were overloaded with help, and asked her to call back next week.
