Last night, Flexy's daughter called and wanted us to go to her daughters' school show next week. The first thing I said to her was: you should talk to your dad about this because, as you must know by now, I am not the travel director around here and never was. I know your dad often uses me as an excuse for not accepting your invitations, you must know that I am not the deciding factor about traveling to Chicago.

I have to measure up and draught a plan of the kitchen as my Missus wants to re-do the whole thing. I have a clay shoot I want to take part in, but I don't know that I'll have to the time to go, I'll have to see how things work out.
I'm going to keep most of Sunday clear so that we might head off somewhere or other, weather depending. 16504. Got my mother back onto the plane on Saturday, back to NZ via Frankfurt and Singapore. She freaked me out by not having her tickets when we went to check in, I thought for a minute they were at home an hour's drive away, but they were in the car. She says this was her last trip, she's said it before but I believe her this time. Fading short-term memory is troublesome in three-hour layovers in big international airports, stuff like that.

I just delivered the wine to the restaurant.
I did this after the meeting of the committee that is chosing candidates for village council and I was not chosen. They picked someone whose job is with Homeland Security at D/FW airport...no, not Jenerator, but a man who lives here in the village. I must say, I was relieved because I wasn't looking forward to the smear campaigns this place is known for. Now I can work to get this guy elected and not worry about having some jerk attack me. The guy seems very capable and I am sure he has more skills than I when it comes to admistration...of course, his campaign posters won't look as good as the ones I was planning but you can't have everything. ;-) 16515.
