It is a gorgeous fall day today. Lots of wind.

I deleted my post #17387-- it was redundant since Jen posted Faith's picture in Religion.

An arrogant asshole performing colonoscopies.

;-)

Scott, I'm sorry about your Kitty, too...pets are part of the family.

Every time Klaus stops eating for a day, I fear the end might be near for my 17 year old sweetie but he's snapped back as his perky self each time. I know that one day he won't, however. I hope his going will be as peaceful as your kitty's.

alistairConnor, thanks, I feel better about the library copies now.

I'd feel even better if larky or Pelle told me it was OK, though. You are suspect with your divorce, alistairConnor. Some teensie Belgian guy told me I was wicked because I was divorced, you know: he would never introduce me to his parents. I smacked him upside the head and went away.

"Natty Dread".... badumbubumbump WHOOOOO!
Is it something I should seek out?

17392. Magoseph - 11/7/2005 12:07:50 PM

Hello, Ulgine and concerned--why are you doing up so early?

Mac, how are you?

17393. ScottLoar - 11/7/2005 12:30:01 PM

The pet now gone is as stark as an empty chair at the table, the place will not feel the same for a long while.

17394. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 12:34:34 PM

yet you'll still feel that cat trip your ankles, at times.

look down, not there

17395. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 12:39:59 PM

I miss the purring when we slept together, the most, that was the biggest loss, the purring.

17396. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 12:44:15 PM

We have a new kitty now and the purr sounds much the same, but it's not that 15-yr-old purr.

Did you have a funeral for your kitty, Scott?

17397. ScottLoar - 11/7/2005 12:52:09 PM

My wife and I are in Shanghai and my daughter in Chicago said the cat was to be cremated; she'll keep the ashes.

17398. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 12:54:50 PM

Excellent arrangements, sorry for your loss.

17399. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 1:00:24 PM

Juliette , who is Juliette?

Well. I could tell. But I won't, not without a kiss.

17400. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 1:05:15 PM

Lordy, I need to work out. My tummy is swelling in a most womanly way ~ a love pooch.

If I let it go much longer, I will be fat.

That used to be sign of the good life and being well-fed, but no longer.

17401. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 1:08:20 PM

And then the one day you find ten years have got behind you

17402. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 1:11:10 PM

Magoseph & ScottLoar are
racing around to come up behind you again

Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled
lines

17403. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 1:13:30 PM

{love that Pink Floyd}

You better run like hell
You better make your face up in
Your favourite disguise
With your button down lips and your
Roller blind eyes
With your empty smile
And your hungry heart
Feel the bile rising from your guilty past
With your nerves in tatters
When the cockleshell shatters
And the hammers batter
Down the door
You better fun like hell
You better dun all day
And run all night
And keep your dirty feelings
Deep inside
And if you take your girlfriend
Out tonight,
You better park the car
Well out of sight
Cos if they catch you in the back seat
Trying to pick her locks
They’re gonna send you back to mother
In a cardboard box
You better run

17405. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 1:23:45 PM

Well, that was written in 1973, 30 years ago, and there you have it, ladies and gentlemen.

The next track is 'Time' which I used, to wake myself up for several years.

17406. Ulgine Barrows - 11/7/2005 1:31:39 PM

"And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime."
"I never said I was frightened of dying."
