Pet death rituals are for 6-year old girls when their pet gerbils or guppies die, not adults.

17475. Ms. No - 11/8/2005 10:05:14 PM

Certainly there's more venom but you have a detrimental lack of accuracy which undermines the delivery.

17476. Ms. No - 11/8/2005 10:06:19 PM

Ah, well. I'm sure you'll get it eventually if you apply yourself.

17478. Magoseph - 11/8/2005 10:21:50 PM

Sorry, Mac--you'll find your last post of today in the Inferno where I put the ones of the fighting cousins.

17479. Magoseph - 11/8/2005 10:42:21 PM

Judith, how did it go yesterday at the airport, did you cry?

17480. judithathome - 11/8/2005 11:28:36 PM

It went fine...and no, I didn't cry. We had a rushed trip, though, because Keoni lost the portfolio I'd bought him to keep his papers, notes, and pen in...he's reading a book on Hawaii in which his ancestors are mentioned and he's making notes for the geneologist he's meeting up with on the Big Island. We stopped and bought him another on they way to the airport.

I'm hesitant to mention this but the saddest thing was when I got home, Klaus saw Keoni's truck parked out front and ran all over the house searching for him. He did the same thing this morning when he woke up and expected to find Keoni to feed him and give him his pill...it's a routine they go through every morning.

17481. Magoseph - 11/8/2005 11:59:23 PM

How long is he going to be gone?

17482. judithathome - 11/9/2005 12:15:41 AM

Two weeks...he'll be back on the 20th.

17483. thoughtful - 11/9/2005 12:28:27 AM

Hey J...how'd you do with your gall bladder?

17484. judithathome - 11/9/2005 12:31:58 AM

It's not the gall bladder. It's my colon...some sort of infection showed up in the MRI...or something showed up, anyhow. The doc put me on some vile antibiotics for 10 days and if that doesn't work, I will have to have a colonoscopy. So as you can imagine, I am hoping the meds work!

It's a drag, though. I have to avoid alcohol and dairy products for the duration. Upside is I may lose a few pounds.

17485. thoughtful - 11/9/2005 12:34:27 AM

oh dear...well here's hoping for the best. and just think how good the booze will taste when you can drink it again.

though i've not had one, i hear the colonoscopy is not so bad as at least you're knocked out for the whole thing...unlike those horrible sigmoid things they used to do.

17486. judithathome - 11/9/2005 12:50:00 AM

I had one 3 years ago and since excision was involved, it wasn't a picnic. But it was over quickly and like you say, being knocked out helps. ;-)
