They say if you almost hit them, they'll barf on your windshield---

I can attest to that. Very Unpleasant.

17574. wabbit - 11/22/2005 2:29:47 AM

Maybe Jen saw a black vulture?

17575. arkymalarky - 11/22/2005 2:44:37 AM

Oooh, really Robert? I always wondered if that was a rural myth.

17576. wonkers2 - 11/22/2005 4:47:23 AM

Yeah, robert, are you sure it was barf?

17577. robertjayb - 11/22/2005 5:41:12 AM

No, I can't be sure which end of the bird the copious discharge came from but it splashed the hood and windshield of my first car. I was on the way to school when I topped a hill and disturbed the creature having breakfast in the middle of the road. He flew up and erupted.

17578. Magoseph - 11/22/2005 1:03:24 PM

Thanks, thoughtful--that makes sense.

17579. thoughtful - 11/22/2005 4:38:02 PM

mags, they were pushing it further this a.m. russert was on saying he had a bus full of 22 people headed for Charles' for tgiving.

I think when they first started it though, imus was not in on it and was really ticked off...he let loose the 'p' word which was a bit of a shock.

17580. judithathome - 11/22/2005 5:56:17 PM

Dinner last night with MsNo and her mom and stepdad was fabulous...our table erupted into laughter so often, we got stares from other diners!

17581. Magoseph - 11/22/2005 6:02:21 PM

They really got him this time--Imus is not much of an actor and he clearly showed his displeasure. I can't get over how well Charles played the whole scam. I guess they had to end it because Imus intended to have his kid tomorrow begging Charles to let him come to his house Thursday.

The "p" word? I missed that and now I can't figure what it is.

17582. thoughtful - 11/22/2005 7:00:19 PM

He very seriously called charles a 'prick'and then suddenly cut into music.

17583. wonkers2 - 11/22/2005 11:00:53 PM

Charles who? (I rarely catch Imus.)

17584. wonkers2 - 11/22/2005 11:01:51 PM

BTW, Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! W2 and the missus are off for DC for the rest of the week for a family gathering there.

17585. Magoseph - 11/22/2005 11:20:36 PM

Charles McCord, Wonk--have a nice time.

17586. arkymalarky - 11/23/2005 1:23:54 AM

I'm envious, Judith!

Have a safe and fun time, Wonk.

17587. Ulgine Barrows - 11/23/2005 4:54:11 AM

be safe driving to kingdom come for Thanksgiving, moties

17588. Magoseph - 11/23/2005 12:02:16 PM

I'm not going anywhere for Thanksgiving. Today at noon, I'll be having a medical procedure done, so I'll rest the next day.

Mac, I'm glad you're back--I've missed you.

17589. Macnas - 11/23/2005 12:03:38 PM

Hi there Mago.

17590. thoughtful - 11/23/2005 3:23:14 PM

Mags, sorry to hear about your procedure...hope it isn't painful, but hope it presents a great excuse to laze around and be treated like royalty.

17591. arkymalarky - 11/23/2005 6:42:18 PM

Hope the procedure goes smoothly, Mags.

We always go to my parents' and Bob's mother's on Thanksgiving. For awhile, when Bob's dad was sick, we had holidays here or in Little Rock. I'm glad we have the one day with little travel and Wednesday and Friday are real days off instead of stressful prep and clean up days.

17592. judithathome - 11/23/2005 9:21:56 PM

My cousin, whose house we're going to tomorrow, said "Oh don't bring anything...just your presence is enough" and so I'm taking her at her word and bringing nothing but 2 bottles of wine and a bouquet of flowers for her.

Keoni and I will be the only ones drinking the wine and we'll need it...we've already made bets on: the time the healthfood lecture will start from my crazy cousin; the time my aunt will get pissed at the lecture; the time a kid will shriek and throw a fit in the floor; the time my crazy cousin will forcibly remove things from her husband's plate because they're not good for him; and the time we will have had enough and plead prior plans with friends whom we're meeting for dessert. (We're not doing this but we use it as an excuse every year so they think it's true.)
