Yaaay! (throwing some of the cyber-confetti I've got for NYE)

18002. Ms. No - 12/30/2005 6:18:27 PM

Dang!

I'm like the harbinger or something. I end up the last post before a millennial run that's hours after I've left. I need to learn to be more observant.

Congrats Judith!

You want me to drive 700 km south to get some pictures of snow?

Hello, Pelle--wouldn't it be great if someday you and I met in between, like in Paris, for example?

10007. angel-five - 6/23/2004 5:59:31 PM

Oh well, back to WX, no trophy in hand.

10008. judithathome - 6/23/2004 6:23:09 PM

Oh well, if you're going to pout, you can have it back.

10009. Ms. No - 6/23/2004 9:15:06 PM

giggling over the image of a 6ft Angel kicking the dirt and hunching wings in a pout

Jeez, I always miss these things anymore.

18004. judithathome - 12/30/2005 7:25:25 PM

Ha! Thanks, Mags...I'd forgotten that one!

In between?

In between!?

700 km south takes me to the southern tip of Sweden. Geography wasn't a priority subject at your convent school, was it?

But the idea that we could meet in Paris is a lovely one. Then we would always have Paris.

18006. judithathome - 12/30/2005 11:07:59 PM

Awwww......

18007. DanDillon - 12/31/2005 5:24:20 AM

Hi.

18008. DanDillon - 12/31/2005 5:25:34 AM

Hi.

18009. DanDillon - 12/31/2005 5:26:37 AM

That was weird.

18010. arkymalarky - 12/31/2005 5:55:59 AM

DAND!!!!!!

How's the fam? How's your daughter? What're you up to these days?

18011. Magoseph - 12/31/2005 3:26:44 PM

Revellers in Sydney, Australia have begun
their New Year festivities with a huge
firework display, kicking off similar
celebrations around the world.

18012. DanDillon - 12/31/2005 10:54:04 PM

All's well. Except for my daughter. Never had one. I do have two sons, though. And another baby on the way! So you can pretty well figure out what I've been up for the past few years. Ah, sweet fatherhood.

18013. arkymalarky - 12/31/2005 11:18:02 PM

Oh my lands! Congratulations! How old is the oldest boy? (And if you say "ten" I'm going to check myself into a nursing home.)

18014. DanDillon - 12/31/2005 11:19:25 PM

Whoops. Unintended -- but wholly enjoyable -- typo: " So you can pretty well figure out what I've been up for the past few years."

" So you can pretty well figure out what I've been up to for the past few years."

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

18015. DanDillon - 12/31/2005 11:20:54 PM

Beckett is two and a half, and Teague is 10 months. We're due with our third in August. Whoa.

18016. DanDillon - 12/31/2005 11:21:10 PM

How have you been?...

18017. arkymalarky - 1/1/2006 3:50:35 AM

I've been great. Busy and still teaching, finally starting graduate school in January so I can hopefully retire and either do something else in about five years or go to part time, or stay at it--depending on what I think in five years.

Sounds like your household is going to be lively. It's still weird to me--this Mote/Fray thing--that we've never met in person, but I very well remember when you were unattached, then married, then a father. Too cool.

Did you know Res got married?

18018. DanDillon - 1/1/2006 4:23:11 AM

Happy news! Glad to see the old adage bear out: The more things change....

A second career could be great fun. Any inclination as to what you might do? Retired teachers are among the most adventerous types I know.

18019. Ronski - 1/1/2006 6:46:27 AM

Happy 2006, everybody, from our lodge, to yours:

18020. judithathome - 1/1/2006 6:49:30 AM

Happy New Year from our house, too...which doesn't look as great as Ronski's but what can you expect from Texas where it's supposed to be 81 degrees tomorrow!
