First, If you add mayo, butter, chopped celery, onion, and pickle, you have a great warm potato salad.

Second, Is Ms No's mother single? There's nothing better than a smart, intimidating women.

Thoughtful,

You do take lovely, well composed pics. That's a talent.

18297. thoughtful - 1/21/2006 12:10:19 AM

anomie, thanks so much for the kind words.

18298. Ms. No - 1/21/2006 12:15:52 AM

Sorry, Ano, she's been happily married to my stepdad 19 years this July. ;->

18299. anomie - 1/21/2006 1:15:37 AM

And may they have many, many more happy years together.

Oh well...

Re. 18295 -

Certainly not a smart intimidating man, who would be an asshole.

Yesterday my son got a shocking call...from an oncologist. Seems his blood work from a recent bout of pneumonia was forwarded to this doctor because of something strange in the results. So he has to go in Tuesday for further tests and some answers.

This is very scary because his past dealings with oncologists...all of us are on pins and needles over this bizarre turn of events.

18302. alistairConnor - 1/21/2006 9:55:04 PM

Hell Judith, that's a shocker. Is it likely to be a sequel to his previous woes?

18303. judithathome - 1/21/2006 10:50:59 PM

We're trying not to think that...but it could easily be.

He's been considered cured for the last 18 years; before that, they would only say "in remission". But since he is one of the few from that time period to still be around, they haven't much in the way of stats to say what damage might have been done by the chemo drugs so they just don't know.

The only thing saving my sanity right now is that I feel if it were something really dire, they would have hospitalized him right away and done the tests there.

sorry judith, I offer my best thoughts for your son and family.

Judith, so sorry to hear about your son. We know what that emotional roller coaster is like. Sending my best courage, strength and healing wishes to you and your son.

18310. PelleNilsson - 1/22/2006 7:20:30 PM

I was sorry to read about your worries, Judith.

18311. prolph - 1/23/2006 10:41:05 AM

Judith @ home. I have added your sun to my morning list which I address
to the galaxcy. My list started long ago when a gentleman closed his speech by telling the ccrowd the he was 84 and hoped we would pray for him we we woke up,
that way, he said,, the prayer might help him but it would surely be better to think of someone other than your self when you first wake up. Patsy

18312. wabbit - 1/23/2006 1:40:34 PM

J@H, best wishes for your son that all is well.

18314. PsychProf - 1/23/2006 2:27:24 PM
