Ms. No,
I'm not drinking and I have less time than I had hoped, but enough excuses!
This quarry case is going on 8 years now. 8 YEARS! I was in court yesterday observing. 8 YEARS! The court system?
HA HA HA HA. And I laugh not as a wild-eyed partisan, but as a chap of average intelligence who can follow an argument.(When I am not being a brilliant military tactician I am a man of average intelligence.) WE, the good guys, have won three appeals and yesterday the township soliciter and our attorney both argued that the case IS OVER. The attorney for the bad guys argued that he was prevented from giving testimony in front of the supervisors and should be permitted to introduce additional testimony. ADDITIONAL TESTIMONY AFTER EIGHT YEARS!!!! THE FACT IS THAT HE CHOSE TO RELY ON THE RECORD AT THE LAST HEARING AND DID NOT INTRODUCE ANY WITNESSES EVEN THOUGH HE WAS ASKED; THE AUDIENCE WAS BAFFLED BY HIS BEHAVIOR. In response our attorney said, "Check the record". "Read the transcripts, your Honor." This judge WILL agree to additional testimony regardless of what the record indicates because he is clearly partisan. He has a client.

All for now. Next chapter -- Uzmakk Steppes Out of the Box. (Stepping out of the box is more exciting and of more general interest than the court case).

If anyone says Hi I will be back later tonight

Hi!!!

18735. judithathome - 3/3/2006 12:05:14 AM

Your case is showing signs of Bleak House-ism.

18736. alistairconnor - 3/3/2006 12:13:57 AM

So, you've been tracking your quarry for eight years... you're not going to let him escape!

What are you thinking outside the box?

18737. arkymalarky - 3/3/2006 1:19:28 AM

HI UZ!!

Keep the pressure on. It ain't over until you get to the top. The court case that landed us in a huge inter-state battle .(rightfully, but the executive tried to target rural and poor schools instead of addressing the court order) lasted over ten years

18738. arkymalarky - 3/3/2006 1:21:14 AM

Man, Judith, that really really sucks. Please keep us posted.

18739. arkymalarky - 3/3/2006 1:22:10 AM

It's good your two friends have you, Alistair. Bob's friends were absolutely indispensable when his dad died.

Uzmakk,

Is this an elected or an appointed judge? Must be appointed because no elected official would dare to behave so.

Perhaps he would change his mind if he woke some early morn to find a haysweep looming in his front yard?

I look foward to more of the tale!

18741. thoughtful - 3/3/2006 3:39:40 AM

Sorry to hear all the bad news...the fractures, the deaths. Too much bad news. Hugs and sympathy all around.

18742. Ulgine Barrows - 3/3/2006 1:36:04 PM

that's true, bad news.

18743. uzmakk - 3/3/2006 4:29:51 PM

Oh, Ms. No, you know how to play the game! I'm getting Pelle in on this.

Similar situation was pointed out by attorneys in our case. Case law cited by the forces of evil(God, George Bush is a great President.) does not apply, because we are addressing a court order -- we're not out in wandering in the forest.

Maybe more tonight, but we'll get back to the Haysweep for sure on Saturday morning.

18744. Ms. No - 3/3/2006 6:41:55 PM

oh, goody, goody, goody!

18745. PelleNilsson - 3/3/2006 7:42:30 PM

I'm Haysweepready.

HAHA! Paul Anka's song "Lonely Boy" was a hit when I was born, and his birthday's the same day as mine! What a neat coincidence? Or is it just a coincidence....hmm.

Sorry about the double double.

I don't think things like that just happen. Look for the saucers to land any day now.
