I'm glad y'all had a great trip, Judith! Can't wait for the details. I'm glad the box got there when they said it would.

Okay, I just had to come back in and thank you for the wonderful book and the CD! They are both excellent...of course, I haven't read the book yet but just glancing through, I can see that it is. But the CD is playing right now...great job! Talent runs amok in your family, that's for sure.

Look for my email with the email address for that guy who has his Master's degree...we spoke with him last night and he said to send it on to you along with his phone number. He'll be happy to hear from you whenever you're ready.

Thanks so much!

Bro's been playing music a long time, but this band is really catching fire in AR more than anything else he's been a part of.

New word for the day....sometimes the Brits are good for something

bumf or bumph

NOUN:
Chiefly British Slang
1 Printed matter, such as pamphlets, forms, or memorandums, especially of an official nature and deemed of little interest or importance.

2Toilet paper.

Funny how words you take as common-place are often strange to americanos.

Had a great workout at the pool today...101 degrees in the air and the water was 90!

20014. Magoseph - 8/10/2006 3:10:11 PM

Hey, Judith, how was the wedding?

20015. Magoseph - 8/11/2006 12:07:21 PM

Hello, everyone! Judith didn't take the bait, I see...

20016. Macnas - 8/11/2006 12:48:08 PM

Hello Mago.

20017. Magoseph - 8/11/2006 1:55:15 PM

Hello, Mac--any interesting plans for the weekend?

20018. wonkers2 - 8/11/2006 2:00:22 PM

Bonjour, Madam Mago. It's another beautiful day in Michigan.

20019. Magoseph - 8/11/2006 2:13:52 PM

Hi, Wonk--Just checked the Weather Channel--it'll be beautiful all weekend. You're just accross from us, same weather usually.

Sorry about slighting you on the wedding update...my computer is crawling.

The wedding was gorgeous...they wore masks at the reception, beautifully decorated ones with feathers and jewels on them. And played the music from Phantom of the Opera.

We loved the area...stunning scenery and weather was delightful. We intend to return frequently!

20021. judithathome - 8/11/2006 8:50:47 PM

What the heck is going on at WX? I know my computer is foulded up but nothing over there will load at all, even after 10 minutes...it shows Page Cannot Be Displayed. I was in there earlier...is this the end of WX? Ha!

20022. Magoseph - 8/11/2006 9:13:01 PM

I just tried it and it's fine, Judith.

20023. Magoseph - 8/14/2006 1:09:29 AM

Hey, Judith, how did your trip to the Dallas Museum of Art go? Were the Tiffany and American Sliversmithing exhibits worthwhile to see?

20024. Magoseph - 8/14/2006 2:56:03 PM

Hello, everyone--looks like I'm talking to myself on this thread--nothing new, I do it all the time at home, going around muttering to myself about all the things I have to do these days.

20025. alistairconnor - 8/14/2006 3:21:57 PM

Hello Mag -- You can talk to me!

Slow day at the office -- Monday of Ascension, nearly everyone has taken a long weekend. My kids are at a summer camp so I had no particular incentive to take the day off... I've finished my holidays, in fact I'm probably overdrawn.

20026. Magoseph - 8/14/2006 3:57:34 PM

Tell me, Ali, what does mean this word bêcheur in French--a relative of mine over the weekend told me that my father was one all his life. Too embarrassed to ask her what it meant, I just want to know now what it means: Arrogant, vain de sa personne, critique des autres ou quoi exactement, s'il the plaît?

20027. judithathome - 8/14/2006 4:09:13 PM

The train trip was wonderful...and both museum exhibits were fabulous. It made me so sad to see how beautifully made things were back in the day and compare it to what passes for "quality living" these days, though.

We decided to come back to Fort Worth for dinner...great new Asian/Mongolian Grill place where we ate like kings! They had a wonderful menu...anything you could possibly want.
