I told her I'd told y'all that story, and she was mortified. "You told them THAT?!" She is so funny. But she's SWAMPED with her new job. I haven't called her this weekend, but before school started she was working about 14 hours a day getting kids registered. How's your son doing? Was he just wandering around with a kidney infection he knew nothing about or was he being "manly" and avoiding the doctor? My best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Glad to hear you can still do some of your pool work --- about the shoe thing, you might try some of the platform fip-flops at Target. They're tall but flat so you don't have to worry about an actual heel on your non-injured foot. A lot of them have sequins and the like and they're generally pretty cheap so you could have a couple pair to go with different outfits.
