For a long time several people have been looking for a way to link in photos. Geocities blocked linking a year or so ago, but guess what? Yahoo briefcase still works, and you have 30mb of space instead of the 12mb you get at Geocities.

Try it; be warned, it sounds more complicated than it is.

Anyone with a Yahoo email address should be able to do this.

  • Go to the Yahoo home page and click on Briefcase, or you can go to the Briefcase page directly, and sign in.
  • I leave the default folder setup as it is, but you can change it if you want. Type in the confirmation code and submit.
  • Next, you will be at the Briefcase home page. Click on "Add Files".
  • On the next page, I usually create an "images" folder, but do as you will. Hit the "Select" button.
  • You will be at an upload page where you can upload images and name them. Browse to your images, select them, name them, and when you are done, hit the "Upload" button at the bottom of the page.
  • Be patient and eventually your images will have been uploaded. Hit the "Back to Folder" button.
  • Click on the name of the image you want to link.
  • When the page with the image opens, right-click on the image, then left-click on "Properties" and copy the Address (URL). This is the image source you need for linking.

Back at the Mote, write your image link:
<img src="URL" width="400">

Your image should be visible, at least until Yahoo gets around to blocking this.

Hello, this is my new wireless keyboard S. Claus thought I needed. It is really smooooth ...maybe because there are no corn chip fragments between the keys...yet...Also, I have a wireless optical mouse...verry nice. I plugged them in all by myself, quite a technical feat for yours truly.

It's where you try out stuff like this

and make sure it goes back to this.

Look, Blake, I did your link work the last time you spoke of a Steyn article. Posting a link is an easy thing. Time you learned.

Go back to the page the article is on - put your cursor in the url window and left click - it should then be highlighted. Then right click and choose copy (left click). Then put your cursor in the message window here and right click again and choose paste (left click). Now, run along and fetch that article:)

Just popped in to say that I am now satisfied with the evidence put forward. The recordings, the photographic before/after evidence. That's all I asked for, not a lot of "trust me. No, we can't tell you.."

Never doubted that they were doing bad things.

Safeties off.

Take care,

THAT GERMAN-FRENCH PLAN: No signs yet whether they're actually serious about sending in thousands of inspectors, presumably with armed support. One attentive reader writes that the
official French radio news service, Radio France International, says that there is no German or French plan, only "elements for reflection," or "les elements de reflection." The news announcer also says that the "plan" previously revealed in Der Spiegel has dissolved in "cacophony." The piece then goes on to note the French denial that there's a plan at all. After that there's information about a German domestic legislative presentation of the plan on Thursday, and a Security Council presentation of whatever there is to present on Friday. I listened at 5:30 p.m. New York time on Sunday. Really, three-card Monte would be easier to keep track of than all this.
