24669. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 11/26/2008 11:23:55 PM Happy Turkey Day everyone!
24670. magoseph - 11/26/2008 11:43:27 PM Ah, thanks, Wiz!
24671. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 11/27/2008 12:54:41 AM LOL! Thanks mago! 24672. David Ehrenstein - 11/27/2008 5:12:47 PM Latest FaBlog: It's Turkey Lurkey Time 24673. judithathome - 11/27/2008 6:12:48 PM Happy Thanksgiving, Moties...we're going to three different places.
Keoni is in the kitchen making pies...which means I'm not allowed in there. 24674. robertjayb - 11/27/2008 7:53:19 PM Revolution in the jayb thanksgiving kitchen: the turkey is being roasted upsidedown. I'm dubious but hesitant to comment lest I be invited to take over. 24675. arkymalarky - 11/27/2008 8:00:30 PM Smart. I'm at inlaws and away from kitchen. Wouldn't want to ruin my reputation. Happy Thanksgiving! 24676. wonkers2 - 11/28/2008 12:00:02 AM Happy Thanksgiving everybody! 24677. magoseph - 11/28/2008 1:33:24 AM We feasted on avocados, cranberries, and artichoke hearts salad--that was all and plenty for us old folks. 24678. magoseph - 11/28/2008 1:38:19 AM
The cranberries were sent to us and looked even better than in this picture.
24679. magoseph - 11/28/2008 8:38:36 PM At ten last night, a neighbor called us and asked if we had a turkey dinner—we happily told the couple about our fare for the day. Ten minutes later, the man came over, rang, and gave me a big brown bag—-Guess what we found in it? 24680. wonkers2 - 11/28/2008 11:03:47 PM A live turkey? 24681. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 11/28/2008 11:50:12 PM Was the bag on fire? 24682. magoseph - 11/29/2008 12:47:51 AM The bag contained six thick slices of cooked butterball turkey, a dish of glazed yams, another of walnut salad, twelve home baked rolls, two pies--one apple and the other pumpkin, a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and what I liked the most, a carton full of fancy appetizers. This gift was because we gave them a good deal on a small piece of property adjoining the one we sold them in 2005 and because we did this, they were able to build the patio they always dreamed about, so they told us. We still can’t get over this gesture because there is nothing we could have done with the strip of land we practically gave away to them. 24683. Ms. No - 11/29/2008 2:02:33 AM Hope everyone had a good holiday --- we're celebrating a day late due to schedules.
Not to cast a pall, but has anyone heard anything from Marjoribanks? 24684. anomie - 11/29/2008 11:59:58 AM Mago... Trading land for food, now THAT's thanksgiving! 24685. magoseph - 11/29/2008 4:56:03 PM Ha ha, that's clever, Anomie.

24686. judithathome - 11/29/2008 9:09:37 PM We're going to a matinee play this afternoon and then out to dinner with 2 other couples. It's called "The Children's Holiday Scientology Pageant" or something like that and is NOT about Scientology, more's the pity. 24687. jexster - 11/29/2008 9:42:59 PM I miss Concerned 24688. arkymalarky - 11/29/2008 10:09:09 PM I thought he'd handle losing better than that.
