If you mean that they sport more German names than we do you are probably right because northern Germany down to Hamburg, the Duchies of Schleswig and Holstein, sort of belonged to Denmark. I say "sort of" because the dynastic and legal relations between the Duchies, the Emperor and the King of Denmark were devilishly complicated: Lord Palmerston is reported to have said that "only three persons understood the Schleswig-Holstein question. One is dead, one went insane and I have forgotten". But Bismarck rendered those problems obsolete. 2523.
