Thanks Robert! Right now I feel almost the same as before the surgery, but I'm not surprised. I'm still early after surgery and just starting to heal. The nurse said 1-2 months to see the results. I'm really excited and ready.

And you know, even if it didn't work it was worth a shot. You just get to the point you feel bad all the time. There are lots worse things than chronic sinusitis, but if you can fix something that's making you feel bad all the time that's a good thing. I imagine in a couple of months I'll be kicking myself for putting it off so long just because I'm a chicken.

Hello, all. A while back I posted a link to my FaceBook page. I just realized it may have been closed to people already in my group. Was it? Anyway, it's open now. If you want to see the stuff I referenced regarding the ex, it's down at the beginning of my yapperizing. I just joined a few weeks ago.

Oh. Good news. For the first time in my life I've found an anti-depressant I can tolerate. It's not an SSRI; it's an SNRI. It doesn't make me groggy at all. I can't believe it. Too late to get me unstrapped from this car wreck appreciation chair, though, seems like. We'll see.

Maybe it'll kick in in the next few weeks. I know they take a while.
I've got to get on Facebook on a computer. I can't do anything on my phone except get things that go to my account. I could upload pics, but it's a hassle.

I have a new netbook. It is pretty cool. It's a Lenovo S12... sort of bridges the gap between a netbook and a laptop... I wanted a bigger screen and a keyboard you could actually touch type on. Not huge performance, basically a lateral move from my 5-yr-old laptop, but these things are quite inexpensive and weigh less than 3 lbs.

I can't imagine ever going with less than a 12" screen.

After 8 days of no phone service and only sporadic DSL connection, my phone and DSL line are working properly. The technician even gave me his private cell number to call if it happens again.

I suspect it is because we gave him biscuits and jam when he arrived early yesterday. ;-)

Keoni's biscuits? The man will be camping out in your yard!

25678. judithathome - 9/22/2009 4:45:18 PM

Yep...they certainly worked on ME!

25679. iiibbb - 9/22/2009 5:36:19 PM

not having a good day.

25680. arkymalarky - 9/22/2009 7:45:11 PM

Hmm. Why not?

25681. magoseph - 9/27/2009 4:03:22 PM

This is just a test.

25682. judithathome - 9/27/2009 5:32:28 PM

It worked!

25683. magoseph - 9/27/2009 6:15:28 PM

Yes, thanks much!

Look at the time, something is wrong--I can't figure out what it is--too stressed out, I guess.

25685. arkymalarky - 9/27/2009 7:13:46 PM

Hey Mags!

You will probably have to reset your time in the mote options.

25686. magoseph - 9/27/2009 7:15:07 PM

Hey, Judith, if I had a botttle of dark red wine right now, I would call a helper and go to sleep.

25687. Ms. No - 9/28/2009 2:27:24 AM

Oooh, I want a helper and to go to sleep!

Can we get a Constitutional Amendment for that?

Good to see you Mago!

Lucy in the sky with diamonds dies

It's not about drugs...

LONDON (AP) -- Lucy Vodden, who provided the inspiration for the Beatles' classic song ''Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,'' has died after a long battle with lupus. She was 46.

I've got an offer on my house. It's almost my asking price.

The relief is enormous, but mostly I just want to cry.

These last few days we've been visiting houses to buy, we were all excited about one place and re-visited it with a friend who's an interior architect, but it could be a real dog... needs a lot of work.

And I got punched by my stepson again. He's having trouble taking his medication. He really needs it, but it makes him feel stupid.

25690. iiibbb - 9/29/2009 6:52:02 PM

congrats Alistair...

Our fingers are crossed. The people that are renting our house work for a construction firm. If they company lands a certain project in the area they plan on being there for 5 or mor years, which would mean they want to buy a house. Right now they are hedging by renting.

Our realtor tells us that the odds of the project going down are about 90% in her estimation.

So we might wind up with an offer from our current tenants, who apparently love the house, and are putting a lot of energy into the landscaping. I see this as a hopeful sign for us.
