I looked at your link. You need to put is some text e.g. John Moran murdered to act as a place holder for the link. In addition you didn't close the tag properly. Here is the format:

< a href="URL here" >text here< /a >

Remove the spaces after < and before >

In order to avoid any misunderstanding. Looking at somebody's HTML code is not a moderators' privilege. Anyone can do it by selecting Show and then Source in the browser.

I prepared my last post in Escapes using Word and pasted into the message box. The pictures did not show up. A tricky little pitfall, I discovered. My Word was set to automatically change "straight quotes" to "smart quotes" and the latter are not recognised as valid HTML characters.. One can turn that feature off in Tools -> Autocorrect -> Autoformat as you type.
