25773. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 11/27/2009 9:29:03 PM Happy TD!
25774. judithathome - 11/29/2009 9:36:11 PM MsNo...I can't believe one of those adorable cherubs was in a baby bucket the last time we saw you! (baby bucket: carrier) 25775. Ms. No - 12/3/2009 7:36:34 AM Yep --- and not even the youngest one. I think it was the middle boy who was still in swaddling last time we met up.
They grow so fast!! 25776. judithathome - 12/9/2009 3:38:31 PM I really expected someone to come over here and leave at least one post since World Crossing has been down the past three days...
I guess the Mote is in a dormant stage for sure. 25777. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 12/9/2009 9:32:55 PM It's beyond dormant . . . I'd call it gangrenous!
You need some new blood . . .
25778. iiibbb - 12/9/2009 11:09:16 PM I'd be here but I'm preoccupied. I'd mostly be lamenting if I were here and you guys don't need to hear it.
Excited to meet this person in P's belly. 2-6 more weeks. 25779. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 12/9/2009 11:23:46 PM "Embedding disabled by request"????
This place!!! 25780. judithathome - 12/10/2009 12:45:32 AM I can't view those embedded videos anywhere...so it's no biggie to me.
25781. judithathome - 12/10/2009 12:47:48 AM Excited to meet this person in P's belly. 2-6 more weeks.
You're kidding! Already?!
Your life is about to change RADICALLY!
You'll wonder how you ever had any other interests at all...every day will become a fascinating journey to the future.
25782. arkymalarky - 12/10/2009 6:40:47 AM Yep! It's a great thing, 3i!
I don't know about the embedding deal. Nothing's changed that I know of. I can't see anything on this phone anyway.
As for my absence, March 31 I shall be released. Until then I'm scarce irl as well. But I keep up even when I don't post.
25783. wabbit - 12/10/2009 4:23:09 PM Embedding isn't disabled by this place, the video appears and works just fine. Might be a setting in your browser.
All kinds of family, house and work stuff here. I'll be largely absent until February.
iiibbb, that's so exciting, can't wait for the photos!! 25784. wabbit - 12/20/2009 6:09:44 PM It is gorgeous outside! We've got 12-15" of snow so far - it's still snowing. I hope other Moties in the NE still have power and are tucked in for the day. Thoughtful is going to get some beautiful photos! 25785. wabbit - 12/20/2009 6:24:16 PM
25786. iiibbb - 12/20/2009 6:58:50 PM I just shoveled the sidewalk and had an epiphany about efficient shoveling of deep snow.
We're well over a foot. 25787. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 12/20/2009 8:24:22 PM We're safe and warm with our new Xmas shelter adoptee, litter-mates Honeybee and Riley . . .
25788. wabbit - 12/20/2009 9:35:22 PM They are very lucky furpeople! How did you folks do for snow? Now that we've started clearing the driveway, I can say we got at least 18", probably more. 25789. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 12/21/2009 12:49:48 AM Nowhere near that. Six to eight inches in the greater Hartford area. Powdery and easy to snow-blow or shovel. 25790. iiibbb - 12/21/2009 1:12:06 AM I think we topped out at 18"... lots of drifts due to the high winds. 12-20" with 2-3 feet in some of the drifts. 25791. wabbit - 12/21/2009 1:59:37 AM My 18-20" is where there was no drifting. I'll check the depth tomorrow where the snowfall is protected, it's probably more like 24". Some of the drifts are over three feet. We'll finish digging out tomorrow. Happily, as WoW said, it's pretty dry and easy to snow-blow or shovel. As a geographic reference, we're about halfway between Boston and Sandwich/Bourne.
Our bird feeders were getting hammered today. At least 30 red-winged blackbirds and six robins were competing with the usual gang of bluejays, cardinals, various sparrows, juncos and titmouses. One of my cats tried to go out the one door we could open, but decided against adventuring when her usual path next to the house, where the snow is rarely more than an inch deep, was up to her chin. 25792. iiibbb - 12/21/2009 4:31:47 AM I'm a half-hour to 45 minutes west of you. My brother lives near Concord and he only got 8".
