We couldn't get one thru to that one. If you get a chance you can email or call me. I think you have my recent ccontact info.

26365. Ms. No - 4/23/2011 7:04:50 AM

Will do --- I'll give you a call tomorrow after my Masters presentation.

26366. arkymalarky - 4/23/2011 4:21:59 PM

Perfect! Good luck with the presentation!

26367. judithathome - 4/24/2011 7:18:03 PM

MsNo, I sent you an email...did it get there? Didn't come back, at least. Ha!

26368. arkymalarky - 4/26/2011 4:34:58 AM

Looked like y'all got some of this round, judith. We've had it rough here, starting this morning. One of my scariest drives to work ever. Way worse knowing mose was somewhere behind me. Ar had a lot of damage, but none here. Will be on the way to work.

26369. arkymalarky - 4/26/2011 1:45:58 PM

Gonna have to brace ourselves again today. School's out due to trees down and no electricity.

26370. judithathome - 4/26/2011 8:15:35 PM

Believe it or not, that storm "parted" and we only got some mild rain...it was bizarre...the TV maps showed all this fuchsia and bright purple above and below us and just yellow (rain) in a sort of "hallway" right along the corridor of where we are...with the bad stuff above and below us.

This has happened twice in the past two weeks...I know we're gonna
i pay
for it sooner or later!

26371. judithathome - 4/26/2011 8:16:57 PM

(that "i" was meant to be italics...I keep forgetting we're "old school" here!) ;-)

26372. msgreer - 4/26/2011 11:37:58 PM

Arky
I know I am not a regular poster but I was concerned about you. How are you doing with all the blasting weather in your state?

26373. arkymalarky - 4/26/2011 11:47:04 PM

Thanks Msgreer! We checked out the storm cellar up the road a while ago, and other than some little rodent sharing it with us and some dirt dobber and swift nests, it's good to go. Mose and SIL are in my parents' partial basement. South and east of us has been catching it so far, but people keep saying it's coming. Right now it's good here, but we're ready to go to the cellar if we need to.

26374. arkymalarky - 4/26/2011 11:48:52 PM

North is catching it too. If you view the AR satellite, our house is the clear spot. ;)

26375. msgreer - 4/27/2011 12:01:39 AM

Arky
Good to know.

26376. msgreer - 4/27/2011 1:30:38 AM

Arky
Good to know you are taking such good precautions.
It always surprises me when people lose their homes and family yet have the spirit to go.

26377. arkymalarky - 4/27/2011 1:51:55 AM

We haven't been to the cellar, actually a root cellar bob's grandparents built, since mose was little, but 8 people died yesterday and they've been saying for days that tonight would be very bad, so it was the thing to do to make sure it was usable.

26378. judithathome - 4/29/2011 12:02:14 AM

OMG! Life as we know it on this planet stops at 3am tomorrow when the world tunes in to see two rather sappy people get married!

Every news outlet and TV station in this country is going to participate in an orgy of "Royal Wedding" mania...puh-leeze!

Now wonder this planet is doomed.

26379. wabbit - 5/1/2011 12:22:47 AM

I'll take "Royal Wedding" mania for a few days every thirty years over the rash of "reality tv" shows any old time.

Glad to hear y'all have survived the weather! Makes our winter look like a piece of cake.

26380. PsychProf - 5/1/2011 12:03:43 PM

To my great surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed the people, pomp, and pageantry of the Royal Wedding…go figure.

26381. arkymalarky - 5/1/2011 11:44:17 PM

Man what crazy weather. Losr out big oak behind the shed and I'm going to have to chain myself to the one in front to keep bob from cutting it. Highs in the mid 50s tomorrow and rain all day. I may have to borrow a bass boat to get to work.

26382. arkymalarky - 5/1/2011 11:53:22 PM

Unbelievable. Just heard on the news that 450 are still missing from the AL tornadoes. How horrible.
