28369. arkymalarky - 12/30/2014 7:03:18 AM

okay, now I'm feeling a bit guilty.

28370. arkymalarky - 12/30/2014 7:24:44 AM

good game! I really didn't expect it to go like that. may turn back into a fan next fall.

The horns lost as expected and looked bad doing it. Manhandled is one of the kinder descriptions I've seen. 59 yards? Sheesh.

“You would’ve thought we’d been better prepared,” Strong said. “It’s a mystery.”

Too true, Charlie.

I don't believe Swoopes is the quarterback of the future.

What arkys are so excited about is that we finally got a decent coach who seems to have a good character. After the embarrassing scandal of our last jerk, it's good to get some deserved respect through a good coach.

BTW, my dad got his undergrad degree at UT.

Worse than I thought. From the Austin American-Statesman:

The Longhorns were outplayed (31-7), outgained (351 yards to 59), outrun (191 yards to 2), and outthrown (160 yards to 57). Arkansas held the ball for twice as much time (37:51 to 18:50), didn’t commit a single turnover (Texas had two), controlled the clock, ran the ball when it wanted to, passed it when it needed to, came up with a defensive touchdown and, well, simply dominated Texas at NRG Stadium.

28375. arkymalarky - 12/30/2014 9:23:39 PM

wow.

Happy New Year, Dear Moties!

I apparently have the flu, (102.5 f), but had to let you know how much I value you all.

28378. iiibbb - 1/1/2015 4:34:55 PM

Happy New Year...

...fevers make people a little delusional.

28379. wabbit - 1/1/2015 5:37:21 PM

LOL!

May 2015 bring you all good health and happiness!

28380. Ms. No - 1/1/2015 10:28:34 PM

Happiest of New Years to you all! I have begun with a sleep in and am now cleaning house. I'm quite pleased with myself.

28381. judithathome - 1/1/2015 10:29:15 PM

I am so bummed it's unreal....will explain another day...but for now: WTF happened with TCU? Winning and falling BACK in the listings?

28382. iiibbb - 1/1/2015 11:46:22 PM

It is because college football rankings are a crock of shit... I have faith that it will at least result in a viable #1 team, but the rest of the field is pointless.

28383. arkymalarky - 1/1/2015 11:52:58 PM

haha 3i! poor Stan had to endure a crying jag yesterday. fever does do weird things to your brain, but I do still so enjoy my motebuds. that and eg24 are my only two internet diversions now. though I am now on ello (cmoo) and think I'm really going to like it.

28384. alistairconnor - 1/7/2015 8:17:06 PM

Kisses Arky... blown from a hygienic distance.

Happy new year all... not feeling happy today, but never mind me.

28385. arkymalarky - 1/7/2015 8:22:34 PM

awww! How sweet!I'm good. turned out to be an acute sinus infection.

but how about you?

28386. judithathome - 1/7/2015 10:03:41 PM

I've had the crud for almost two weeks now...had to forgo the funeral of my neighbor, who was 86 and decided she'd had enough on her last trip to the ER last week.

I have had this SHIT since that time and was terrified of attending her memorial; all I'd need to feel worse about her passing would be to pass on to her friends this crappy illness I have right now by attending her service.

I have admired this woman since I was 12 years old and send kudos to her soul for refusing to be hooked up to machines in order to make everyone feel better and make her doctors and the hospital more money by trying in vain to keep her around...sorry if that sounds crass but it is how I feel.

Beautiful soul and classy lady who was always dressed to the nines and was the strongest woman I've ever known.
