Okay, Arky: Major procrastinator here. Looks like the earliest we can get underway is Friday Oct. 2, if we get this place buttoned up. Things going reasonably well we should be in your vicinity by Sunday the 4th. Tomorrow I will charge up my soon-to-be-abandoned dumbphone. (979-229-7385) If you can call and if the phone works we can exchange some good numbers and I hope arrange a meetup. Be advised our travel plans often go awry, but we usually get there. Looking forward to it. Be advised also we are traveling with two dogs, one of which we just learned is diabetic...twice daily injections...the whole routine. Jeez.

Sixteen years! Wow.

Sounds wonderful! Can't wait! I'll holler at you! A few years ago, one of my students looked at me and said, you always fly by the seat of your pants don't you? Don't know what made me think of that story. :-)

28732. arkymalarky - 9/29/2015 6:32:56 PM

Just called and left a message. Hope that was the right number.

28733. judithathome - 9/29/2015 8:23:22 PM

Oh wow...Keoni is going to Vegas to meet up with his family for a nephew's wedding...otherwise, we'd bop over there to get together with y'all!

Robert, think about coming to the annual "hoedown"...it's a blast!

And I highly recommend the Reuban sandwich at Mom's Cafe in Delight, Arkansas...

Carly Fiorina

28735. judithathome - 9/29/2015 8:26:00 PM

Oooops...I thought I was doing a "search" on Google...Keoni has updated a ton of shit on the computer and whatever he did...it all sucks for ME...@@

28736. arkymalarky - 9/29/2015 10:45:00 PM

Ha-ha!

28737. arkymalarky - 10/11/2015 8:40:56 PM

Just had an absolutely delightful visit with the Robertjayb's! I hope we get to do that again next time they're in Arkansas, bet or no bet! We can have a nice long porch visit. So glad we got to meet up, and hope it's not as long to the next one as it took to meet up the first time.

28738. judithathome - 10/11/2015 9:31:02 PM

I really envy you...wish we could have joined y'all!

Any chance they might return for the gathering?

Keoni is in touch with Frankster via FB...we may try to lure him to the next one!

28739. arkymalarky - 10/11/2015 10:37:13 PM

I certainly tried to promote that! I would so love to see Frank! I hope we can get some missed Mote folks back to next one.

28740. arkymalarky - 10/11/2015 10:39:29 PM

Wish y'all could have been there! We had some good Mexican food at Prescott. I know how to keoni hates to miss a chance for good Mexican food.;)

28741. arkymalarky - 10/12/2015 2:59:05 AM

Robert, hope you all had a good safe trip home. It's going to be all we can do to make this cheese last more than a day or two. That stuff is melt in your mouth wonderful.

28742. judithathome - 10/12/2015 10:57:00 PM

What is it? As you know, I am a cheese freak!

28743. arkymalarky - 10/12/2015 11:17:55 PM

Wisconsin cheese! carrvalleycheese.com

Hello, world. Methinks this computer/provider hookup is finally working. About time. Much too delayed in thanking the Arky's for the nice visit in Prescott (press kit?) and the introduction to Casa Carlos and some excellent Mexican food. May change my standard order.

Regarding the cheese: Cheese curds (fresh, unprocessed cheddar) are an acquired taste I'm still working on after 50 plus years of visits to Wisconsin. I did manage my first full order of fried curds this summer that will last me for several more years. Fresh curds are an okay cocktail snack. According to the University of Wisconsin rats fed this remarkable food develop an unusual capacity to polka and drink beer.

28745. arkymalarky - 10/21/2015 7:03:59 PM

Ha! Really? Stan and I were fighting over it. We love the taste! We had such a blast visiting with you all, and your wife is just great! We've got to do this again when y'all come back through and y'all can stay at Casa Malarkey's next time!

28746. judithathome - 10/24/2015 12:15:15 AM

Arky...hope you're not getting the HOLY SHIT we are getting right now....thank god they finished our street gutters and drains!

Yes, I know...everyone needs the rain...but not all in one fell swoop!!

28747. arkymalarky - 10/24/2015 12:23:31 AM

So far it's great. We don't live in an area that floods, so as long as we don't have to go to town we're good. I'm very glad I didn't go to work today, because it would not have been fun driving my commute. Hope it's not bad Monday.

28748. judithathome - 10/24/2015 10:02:14 PM

Well...not trying to be Debbie Downer but it's looking really bad for tonight where we are...hopefully it will clear overnight.

28749. arkymalarky - 10/24/2015 10:14:42 PM

You're really getting socked. still not too bad here. Good soaking rain, not flooding.
