Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future...

I like it. Should be useful in the political season.

Reintarnation must be what happened to me.

Happy Paraskevidekatriaphobia Day!!!

Adios, Muchachos...

SAN DIEGO (AP) - More Mexicans are leaving the United States than migrating into the country, marking a reversal of one of the most significant immigration trends in U.S. history..... Pew Research Center found that slightly more than 1 million Mexicans and their families, including American-born children, left the U.S. for Mexico from 2009 to 2014. During the same time, 870,000 Mexicans came to the U.S., resulting in a net flow to Mexico of 140,000.

Hope it works...if not, it is Willie doing "Living in the Promised land. Look it up. Timely, I think. And for anytime, it's Willie. What else do you need?

28775. robertjayb - 11/20/2015 2:56:36 AM

Another way to go is Juanita Jean's World's Most Dangerous Beauty Shop. Willie is top of the list at the moment.

Crosspost... Wrong thread

Went home for a couple of days to e with my mom during dad's birthday and clean out some of his stuff. He still had every PC since the 80vs probably. I took 3 cpus, 3 crts, tons of cables and all of his electronics scraps to the recycling center. Wierd driving around my hometown. Places that were the deep woods are all entire neighborhoods for miles. Stores no longer where they used to be. Crazy.

Mom did okay.

Worst part was going out to lunch with an old friend who in many ways helped raise me. As a means of comparison, his and my parents phone numbers are the only two from tjere I don't need to look up. Always a bit conservative he's turn himself into quite the racist. Obama hates white people. There is a great non white plot to out produce us in fertility and take over the world.

Sad.

I'd disown him if he didn't mean so much to me

I thought that was an odd post for the garden thread. But I posted a response in there

Have I mentioned how much I fucking love the Kongos' album, Lunatic?

28779. arkymalarky - 11/23/2015 12:56:15 AM

Ha-ha! Not lately....

28780. Ms. No - 11/23/2015 6:54:35 PM

I built a sort of house-cleaning-classroom-straightening-piddling-around-the-house playlist on my Amazon Prime.

Kongos - Lunatic
Saint Motel - Voyeur
Atlas Genius - Inanimate Objects
Gin Wigmore - Gravel & Wine
Boy & Bear - Harlequin Dream
21 Pilots - 21 Pilots
The Demberists - Castaways & Cutthroats
Man Man - On Oni Pond
Fitz & the Tantrums - More than Just a Dream
Misterwives - Our Own House
Milky Chance - Sadnecessary
Rumspringa - Rumspringa EP
The Cat Empire - Two Shoes
Foster the People - Torches

None of which anyone but maybe you, Arky, have ever heard.

I've no idea what i3b3 listens to, but I think we're within 10 years of each other (he being the younger).

It's one of the things I miss most about living close to my brother - sharing our latest musical finds. Sure, we text and call, but it's not the same thing as sitting in the car with the radio cranked right up to the threshold of pain and immersing yourself with another person in an audio-experience.

We grew up doing this with our dad, and if I lived closer to him we'd share too. His tastes are a little more traditional, but he'll give anything a try. As far as he's concerned, good music is good music regardless of genre.

Plus he's got a 9yo son who'll keep him up-to-date.

28781. arkymalarky - 11/23/2015 9:16:02 PM

I know some of it...I need to borrow it so I can get off my ass and clean my house. Have been using Pandora almost exclusively since I changed phones, but I want to get my music organized and get back into it. Everything is just so crazy out of control at the moment. I'm hoping to change that over Thanksgiving and Christmas.

28782. Ms. No - 11/24/2015 4:27:45 AM

A bunch of those can be listened to for free if you have Amazon Prime. That's still the best $99 I spend every year.

28783. Ms. No - 11/24/2015 4:28:48 AM

I need to find a service to digitize my CD collection so that I can get rid of the physical disks. I could do it myself, but it takes too damn long.

28784. arkymalarky - 11/24/2015 5:23:04 AM

I have prime, but our rural jackrabbit satellite Internet keeps me from enjoying those aspects. If we ever get too feeble and head for civilization...I don't even dream of it coming to us anymore.

28785. arkymalarky - 11/24/2015 5:28:09 AM

We still have LPs we envision putting on CDs and then digitizing those. We even have a turntable that can put them straight from LP to iPhone that we never used. No more likely to happen than any other stuff we imagine doing in retirement. Except I am going to be a glamper. Have a little pos trailer and I'm stripping it out over Thanksgiving.

28786. Ms. No - 11/24/2015 5:49:58 AM

I could so get down with glamping!

28787. arkymalarky - 11/24/2015 5:56:37 AM

Oooooh! My timeline is a year and a half, but I'll text you pictures whenever we do something with what we got.
