Maher's a JEW

I have explained this before

I will not do so a THIRD time.

His mother was a Jewess

Father: Bill Maher. Irish Catholic; died in 1992 of cancer; Mother: Julie Maher. Jewish;

Jew 101
Who is a Jew?

A Jew is any person whose mother was a Jew or any person who has gone through the formal process of conversion to Judaism.

Born in New York City in January 1956, Bill Maher is a comedian, actor, producer, and writer known for his political satire and commentary. Maher's Irish-American father, a radio newscaster and later an NBC-TV news editor, was Roman Catholic. His mother, a nurse, was Jewish. When Bill Maher was 13 years old, his father abandoned his Catholic faith, and Bill Maher did likewise. "It was like V-J Day in my room," a laughing Maher is quoted as saying in the October 24, 2004 Chicago Sun-Times. "I couldn't have been more thrilled."

Wonkers,

I would have enjoyed debating Maher, but he wasn't looking for normal people.

"Bill Maher is a comedian..."

Only by the loosest of definitions...

29325. iiibbb - 10/23/2008 6:15:14 PM

I don't like Maher... he's too full of himself.

OTOH

“Question with boldness even the existence of God; because if there be one, He must approve the homage of Reason rather than that of blindfolded Fear." - Thomas Jefferson in a letter to Peter Carr, Aug. 10, 1787

29326. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 10/23/2008 6:24:32 PM

He is full of himself, but it doesn't prevent him from speaking the truth about the follies of religion and the hypocrisy so prevalent in our culture.

29327. Jenerator - 10/23/2008 7:54:07 PM

I don't consider him a source of truth.

29328. Jenerator - 10/23/2008 7:54:31 PM

PS - Hi Pelty! Long time no see.
