The human spirit is a remarkable thing . . .
4002. wabbit - 4/23/2007 5:32:12 PM Wow. That made my day. 4003. wonkers2 - 4/24/2007 11:57:21 PM Amazing! Darn clever, those Colombianos! 4004. wabbit - 5/8/2007 6:06:19 PM
I didn't expect to see a Baltimore Oriole for another couple weeks, but here he is! 4005. wonkers2 - 5/8/2007 6:50:56 PM Nice shot! I've never seen one in Michigan. 4006. wabbit - 5/8/2007 7:00:50 PM Thanks, w2, I thought it wasn't a half bad shot for a point-and-shoot camera through glass.
This may be our usual male, we have a pair who nest somewhere behind the house every year. We don't generally see them before late May, though, so this is early. In fact, it's early enough that the Mass Audubon Society doesn't have their 2007 Oriole Project survey available yet. Meanwhile, I've filled out the data card. 4007. judithathome - 5/8/2007 7:21:00 PM Wiz, could you send me a link to that piece so I can copy it over to my forum? That was flippin' amazing!! 4008. judithathome - 5/8/2007 7:24:27 PM Never mind...I figured it out! Duh. 4009. Ulgine Barrows - 7/13/2007 10:02:22 AM Such a perfect day, today. Looked like rain earlier, but no.
It all blew off. I played hooky with a gal I know.
We ended up in a cool library that is the closest thing to the NYC this western side of the Mississippi.
Saw an exhibit of photos. Some kids in Africa were taking pictures of things they loved. 4010. Ulgine Barrows - 7/13/2007 10:17:07 AM JudithAtHome,
"closest thing to the NYC Public Library west of the Mississippi"
wink 4011. Ulgine Barrows - 7/13/2007 10:41:21 AM Anyway. These kids taking pictures of things they loved.
I'd say 97% of the photos were of people. Only a few were pictures of things.
Very different culture than My House, USA - if I gave my kid a camera and told him to take pictures of things he loved, I doubt I'd show up in any of them.
But I would want to see what pictures he took, too. 4012. wonkers2 - 7/15/2007 6:13:16 PM The Richest of the Rich Americans 4013. wonkers2 - 7/15/2007 6:13:42 PM The Richest of the Rich Americans 4014. thoughtful - 7/16/2007 5:19:10 PM We went to an antique car show yesterday with our 1948 cj-2a jeep and guess what....we won a trophy!
We were just tickled pink as there were about 450 cars there and didn't think we'd have a prayer. 4015. thoughtful - 7/16/2007 7:14:47 PM 4016. arkymalarky - 7/17/2007 1:30:39 AM How cool! Great-looking car! 4017. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 7/17/2007 4:26:17 AM Don't pass this up . . .
