I feel really badly for obama...he's in a position of such high expectations that unless come Jan20 the sky bursts out in rainbows and manna falls from the heavens, he'll be considered a disappointment.

Of course, by comparison to the current fella, the bar has been set very very low

DiFi DoubleTalk

KOS has been publishing what it calls "Senatorial Steak Sauce"

This from DiFi fits the pattern...What kind of turnips do they take us for? The decision is being made NOW for the NEXT congreff

    Dear Me:

Thank you for contacting me about Senator Joseph Lieberman's (I-CT) recent appearance at the Republican National Convention. I appreciate hearing from you and welcome the opportunity to respond.

Like you, I was very disappointed by Senator Lieberman's speech at the Republican Convention and his criticism of Senator Barack Obama. However, with only a few months left in the 110th Congress, I believe it is better to wait until the beginning of the new Congress to reevaluate Senator Lieberman's Committee Chairmanship.

Once again, thank you for expressing your concerns. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my Washington, D.C office at (202) 224-3841 or visit my website at www.feinstein.senate.gov. Best regards.

    Sincerely yours, Dianne Feinstein
    United States Senator

Dan Rather's $70 million lawsuit against CBS gains traction Too bad Phil Donohue didn't sue NBC for firing him becaused he was skeptical of the Iraq invasion!

Huckabee simply cannot keep his petty hatefulness under wraps for very long. And he's a vindictive man with a short fuse. He will consider Romney an enewmy for life and will believe he's important enough for Romney to give a shit. I was glad to see him innoculate himself against a 2012 nomination.

40231. jexster - 11/18/2008 1:25:18 AM

Huckabeast ROCKS

I saw him on Fox last night...well I watched 2 minutes of it

I am proud to have counted myself among his supporters this year...pig proud

Latest word is that the same Senators Garden Slug who want to bailout GM will let Mentum keep his job

40233. jexster - 11/18/2008 1:44:32 AM

I smell ANOTHER rat

Through its GE Capital subsidiary gets about from 30-50% of its revenue from the finance business. So bailing it out makes as much sense as bailing out AIG or the investment banks.

And in terms of assets, it's leveraged also - about 80% of GE's total assets are controlled by GE Capital. So it's better to think of it as a bank with an industrial base, rather than an industrial company that does financing.

I LOVE it when those douche nozzles trot out "OOOO just think of all the extra medicaid costs when Detroit cuts its deadwood on to the US social safety net"

States have slashed Medicaid with every fiscal crisis over the past 20 years to the point where you have to be homeless to qualify...

How bout fixing Medicaid FIRST...enough waiting for our tax dollars to trickle down from Grosse Pointe

The usual suspects are also fond of HONKING "well if it were different times (ie we weren't in such a fucking mess already), we could let GM go bankrupt as God intended when he invented bankruptcy...blah..blah..blah

Brings up an interesting anecdote...when Wonkers picked me up for lunch in a rented LINCOLN....and proceeded to launch into a Detroit Buy American Sales pitch...v. 1976

perhaps we should repo the Escalades and Navigators from the morans who bought them on credit or charge them the FULL cost of ownership now that the bill has come due and we know what it is

40238. jexster - 11/18/2008 2:22:29 AM

If only GM had gone bankrupt 10 years ago....

40239. jexster - 11/18/2008 2:26:16 AM

I don't know what makes me angrier...the Marmots of the Senate, the big 3 boobs or the international spanish finance conspiracy
