In case that embed code didn't work...Follow the Frog

5101. arkymalarky - 3/8/2014 10:46:27 PM

Love it! I'll start looking for the frog. For helping schools you can collect Box Tops for Education and that helps schools. Mose has three hundred eighty dollars worth of the box tops that she's going to spend on her library.

you can't win. For every one following the frog, there are 12 who won't because it's cheaper.

But I will follow the frog anyway.

I like that video because I am often overwhelmed by the problems that I am participating toward possible solutions.... but it can be depressing.

Beautiful day today...we have the doors and windows open and Keoni is out in the front yard wearing shorts while washing the car!

wish it would stay that way. Supposed to be cold tomorrow, but after a couple of days looks like it's going to get back nice again.

got a pile of poetry tests I'd rather take a beating than grade. Thankfully there's no nice weather outside to take me away. But there's always television.

St Patrick's Day snow. Happy St Patricks!

I'm wishing I'd taken a before picture.

Just finished sweeping out my new garage and laying down a pile of Spill-stop or whatever that picks up oil stains. I've brushed it into the oil stain and will go sweep it up tomorrow.

It actually only has to sit for 10-15 minutes, but I'm tired of sweeping and scrubbing and I've got to be somewhere in 40 minutes.

The acquisition of a garage is life-altering for me. I love --- truly love --- the guys at the self-storage, but for the same price I can have a garage 30 feet from my back door. This will allow me to:

- Store my car this summer while I'm traveling and not have to leave it at a friend's house.

- Have quick access to my stored teacher stuff without having it in my apartment. (Ditto seasonal clothes etc.)

- Have a WORKSHOP SPACE to do leather in.

I am a happy, happy woman.

How nice!

I really try to take my allergies in stride, but I'm getting so irritated at what I want to do vs what I'm able to do. I'm on every allergy med possible and using the dust mask and digging up my flower beds, but the pine pollen is so thick it's been difficult and I want to be outside. Its just a gorgeous spring this year here.

5111. Ms. No - 4/14/2014 4:11:55 PM

That sucks. I hate that allergies hit hardest when you most want to be out and about and doing things.

5112. arkymalarky - 4/15/2014 2:23:30 AM

Yeah, now I'm sick and I can't miss work right now.

Not sick but a bit tipsy right now....:-)

5115. arkymalarky - 4/20/2014 8:45:30 PM

dodged a sinus infection bullet and I've been using a dust mask and eye protection along with meds and this weekend dug flower beds, planted fruit trees and sprayed off the porch and stan weedeated (ate?), so far so good.

5116. arkymalarky - 4/20/2014 8:45:58 PM

and tilled for a garden. Yea yea yea!

5117. arkymalarky - 4/20/2014 11:23:22 PM

And took a nap in my hammock.

I'm worn out just reading that...took a shower, got ready, went to granddaughters for hot dogs, jelly beans, and Peeps...met the new guinea pig they got for the baby.

Too cute...she named him Lollipop and his fur feels so unlike what the way it looks.

Guess I should stop calling her the "baby"...she's will be 6 in August!

Hardly recognized the ex daughter-in-law...seriously, it was a few minutes before I realized who she was. Saw her at Christmas and she looked like herself. Today? She looked totally foreign...she has gained almost 50 pounds and a lot of it is in her FACE...just shocked the hell out of me.
