There is another way of doing it too. Type the post you want in Go To Mote # and click Go. Then copy the URL in the location window and use it as reference.

Pelle

Slick! Thx

583. PelleNilsson - 11/10/1999 7:51:50 PM

Of course, that method works across threads too.

Dusty,
I thought in the early days of the mote, calgal had posted a page or a link to a page with all the standard html colors by name. I just went looking for it and couldn't find it....it sure would be a good thing to have a link to in the butterscotch bar above.
Thanks --- I'll look a little further and let you know if I find it.

585. Thoughtful - 11/11/1999 1:25:24 AM

Dusty,
I found it here.
Thanks,
thoughtful

Thoughtful

Good idea. I haven't learned how to do that yet, but I'll learn.

Within a thread, you can type < msg num=500> to refer to another post. (Remove the first blank.)

Example:
Message # 500

I think there's also a way to do it across threads, but I'm on a phone call at the moment, so I can't look it up. I'll try to report back when I have a chance to find it.)

588. CalGal - 11/11/1999 5:22:17 AM

Since I went looking for it myself:

< msg thread=8 num=2668 >

589. robertjayb - 11/11/1999 6:11:12 AM

testing...
.
Message # 1511 in thread 35

590. CalGal - 11/11/1999 6:12:17 AM

Worked for me.

591. robertjayb - 11/11/1999 6:14:36 AM

.
Cool!

592. JudithAtHome - 11/12/1999 1:05:25 PM

What's the frequency, Kevin?

593. dusty - 11/13/1999 2:38:06 AM

Thanks CalGal, for finding the format for linking to other threads.

Of course, this requires knowing the thread number. You can find it by looking in the address line at the top of your browser, but I'll create a table with the numbers.

595. PelleNilsson - 11/13/1999 8:41:49 PM

I should be grateful if somebody using Internet Explorer would check this page and tell me what it looks like, in particular if the width of the text is convenient.

(I had to uninstall IE because of conflicts with other programs)

598. PelleNilsson - 11/13/1999 8:44:30 PM

OK. Please ceck my #595 up there beside the table.

599. PelleNilsson - 11/13/1999 8:45:03 PM

.. check..

600. dusty - 11/14/1999 12:41:24 AM

Oops

Dusty,

My first guess is your "align=left" tag.

BTW, to get rid of all those spaces, don't put any carriage returns in before or after the table tags.
