CalGal

That being said, I thought it was a stupid thing to do.

Really? Why?

Did you think you and PE spitting at each other was relevant to this thread?

If your spat was worth saving, say the word and I'll copy it to the Playpen.

If moving asinine posts out of a thread doesn't fit your paradigm, please explain (but in the proper thread, please)

690. Dusty - 11/29/1999 11:18:02 PM

To all

This is one of the first threads new people visit when they come to the Mote. Can we at least try to put on a pleasant face, so we don't turn off new people before they get settled in?

691. ScottLoar - 11/29/1999 11:22:23 PM

But of course. I myself promise to practice here an ebullience calculated to coat the wary antennae with a slathering of great cheer and fraternity.

Here, that is, no other thread.

692. CalGal - 11/29/1999 11:26:40 PM

Dusty,

Why on earth did you post further on it in here? Then if I respond, you've got more arguing to wail about. Honestly, people are clueless sometimes. I gave you my opinion.

And your Rodney King act is less than inspiring.

693. CalGal - 11/29/1999 11:28:43 PM

Besides, it was hardly a spitting fight. It was actually rather funny. For you to delete it was only indication that you felt the need to (gack) make a statement and nothing else. I am unimpressed.

But--as I said--it is your thread. So don't ask for opinions and you won't have anything to worry about.

Try the Mote!

Where the dames are better looking and friendlier, Gillette manufractures the Mach 3 wits, and all posts are above average.

695. ElliottRW - 11/30/1999 5:54:29 AM

How's that sound?

696. dusty - 11/30/1999 8:57:17 AM

ElliottRW

Just a warning. Some people don't like incorporating sound into posts. In order to avoid offending, you might consider using a link, so that people can choose whether they want to hear a sound.

dusty

Okay. Thanks for the tip.

hmmmm......this strange border anomally just happened over in current events as well.

Both Indy and cazart came over from TT right? Maybe it's a difference in the way we do HTML?

700. Indiana Jones - 12/1/1999 7:27:29 AM

I was duplicating cazart's feat. As I suspected, he left off the close quote on the URL in his link.

701. IdiotWind - 12/1/1999 10:21:25 PM

This is the HTML language for linking, yes?

The Mote

IdiotWind ??

703. IdiotWind - 12/1/1999 10:26:58 PM

Hmmm? Try again, but change mote to DR.

DrudgeReport

704. IdiotWind - 12/1/1999 10:28:58 PM

Do I have to put in DR's URL numbers?

705. Indiana Jones - 12/1/1999 10:31:10 PM

IW, here's the text for what you're trying to do:

<a href="www.drudgereport.com/matt">Drudge</a>

706. Indiana Jones - 12/1/1999 10:32:02 PM

Oops, should be

<a href="www.drudgereport.com/matt.htm">Drudge</a>

707. IdiotWind - 12/1/1999 10:32:38 PM

Thanks. I'll practice it.

708. Indiana Jones - 12/1/1999 10:34:04 PM

You're welcome. Now, can you translate your Latin post in the SI thread?
