CalGal notes in the HTML FAQ that it is bad form to include sound in a post, even though it is possible. Let me amend that, with something I just learned today. If you use a command of the form: < embed src="http://fly.hiwaay.net/~bstevens/xmas/joy1.mid" width="150" height="40" autostart="false" loop="true"> it will show up as Note that I set autostart to False. This will not automatically play. It will play only if the reader clicks on the start button (the little triangle near the left). Obviously, you need to replace the item in quotes with your selected file. Now, unless someone objects immediately, I'm going to remove Message # 695792. Candide - 1/7/2000 9:54:50 AMLooks very accessible to this illiterate cyber-idiot. I want to do a lot of things I can't at the moment and the new format makes that a lot easier. I like what you said about Mock posts. I don't know if that is new, but if not, I didn't see it before. I think it covers the issues nicely. I started to ask where the color table was, then i accidentally clicked on it and found it. I'll suggest that it is a bit hidden, but if no one else has a problem, nothing needs to be done. A minor suggestion on the sound section (very nice btw), if someone copies the material in there as a start, they will pick up "Loop='true' ". I suggest you change it to False. In most cases, people shouldn't want the piece to play over and over again. Some might not realize what that attribute is, and just copy it as is. As usual, great job.809.
