8959. judithathome - 12/1/2013 7:28:25 PM There's a song in that commercial? :-)
THAT woman is so stunning! 8960. judithathome - 12/1/2013 7:33:39 PM Thanks for the info on Liberty....I will have to go a very long way to accept it as a real "university" if they are just recently allowing BOTH sides in debates...the whole point of going to a university, aside from making your resume look better, is to open your mind to new and different things...world views with which you might disagree.
Frankly, anything Jerry Falwell and his ilk are involved with seems tainted by bias to me...rigid bias. 8961. judithathome - 12/1/2013 8:51:46 PM Going to see The Rivals this afternoon...can't beat those 1775 plays!
It has one of Keoni's favorite characters in it: Mrs. Malaprop. 8962. judithathome - 12/2/2013 10:36:10 PM It was FABULOUS! 8963. Jenerator - 12/2/2013 11:48:36 PM I was at the University of Texas two weeks ago and there was a memorial dedicated to the Americans killed in Yemen by drone attacks. Ummmm..... 8964. Jenerator - 12/2/2013 11:53:32 PM I haven't seen the Dolly Parton Dior commercial. I have seen the Princess Grace and Marilyn Monroe Dior commercial. (?)
8965. Jenerator - 12/2/2013 11:57:33 PM Trillium,
I am with you on movies sensationalizing racial struggles, especially now.
It's interesting that "Gangster Squad" had an entire sequence rewritten and taken out of the movie because of what happened in Aurora, Colorado, yet they're still pushing for movies with racial stereotypes and that can incite violence.
I'm sure some Hollywood big name will get behind a Trayvon Martin biopic next. 8966. Jenerator - 12/2/2013 11:59:24 PM And, Spielberg is a nice guy and the consummate professional from everyone I know who has worked with him. 8967. judithathome - 12/3/2013 1:14:08 AM I haven't seen the Dolly Parton Dior commercial.
She's not IN the ad, she's singing the song that plays in the background. 8968. Jenerator - 12/4/2013 12:10:38 AM I don't think so...

I had looked it up and saw dp's name in the results and assumed it was her. I didn't click on any off them. She's still cool though. 8971. arkymalarky - 12/4/2013 3:48:55 AM Wow. I had looked it up and saw dp's name in the results and assumed it was her. I didn't click on any off them. She's still cool though. 8972. judithathome - 12/4/2013 4:51:50 AM Can't get the link to work...who is it, then?
I guess Dolly is little "raw" for Dior, come to think of it.
But who knows...that could be a whole new level of marketing for them.S 8973. Jenerator - 12/5/2013 12:02:34 AM Dolly seems like a nice person. I agree with you! 8974. arkymalarky - 12/5/2013 12:17:54 AM she's also very smart and an excellent songwriter. I didn't realize that when I was growing up, but listening to covers of her songs by other people as an adult I'm giving her another listen. She's got a whole lot of talent and brains and she gives back, which I always admire. 8975. arkymalarky - 12/5/2013 12:19:04 AM Loretta Lynn is another one. 8976. wabbit - 12/16/2013 12:30:21 AM RIP Peter O'Toole. The honorary Oscar winner passed away at age 81 after a long illness on Saturday at the Wellington Hospital in London, his agent Steve Kenis reports... 8977. judithathome - 12/16/2013 1:10:56 AM Thank god his obit listed Lawrence Of Arabia as his most esteemed role...I can promise you that had he been in even one of the Harry Potter movies, THAT would have been his epitaph.
I nearly croaked myself when Richard Harris died and the obits all started with "The actor who played (whomever) in the Harry Potter movies...." like he'd never been in anything else. 8978. wabbit - 12/16/2013 6:20:09 PM RIP Joan Fontaine Joan Fontaine, the patrician blond actress who rose to stardom as a haunted second wife in the Alfred Hitchcock film “Rebecca” in 1940 and won an Academy Award for her portrayal of a terrified newlywed in Hitchcock’s “Suspicion,” died at her home in Carmel, Calif., on Sunday. She was 96...
RIP Bill Jack Tom Laughlin, the actor who wrote and starred in the "Billy Jack" films of the 1970s, died Thursday, his family confirmed Sunday. He was 82...
