10100. Absensia - 6/30/2004 12:00:40 AM G'day, all. Another day of sun. How long can this keep up?
Magos, true, but it all sounded so self-congratulatory. Perhaps it will improve.
Alistair, congratulations. I look forward to pictures, too. 10101. wonkers2 - 6/30/2004 12:04:23 AM Alistaire, won't the tiles be hard on the horses' hooves? 10102. PelleNilsson - 6/30/2004 12:06:56 AM I picked up my new glasses today. Plastic and titan, extremely light (<10 grams), extremely flexible, no screws or hinges and such stuff.
10103. alistairConnor - 6/30/2004 12:07:42 AM The horseshoes would be hard on the tiles. Henceforth the horses will not be invited inside. They are welcome to join us for a drink on the terrace (the drinking trough has been religiously preserved), as long as they will agree to crap only in the designated area, i.e. among the roses. 10104. Macnas - 6/30/2004 12:15:37 AM Pelle, they look the exact same as your old glasses. 10105. PelleNilsson - 6/30/2004 12:24:31 AM In a way they do but the titan/plastic combination makes qualitative change in the order of 200 euros. 10106. wonkers2 - 6/30/2004 12:31:17 AM I've worn glasses for more years than I care to admit, and they have become much lighter and more durable in recent years. One problem hasn't improved, however--the lack of availabilty of spare parts. Also, the constant style changes. I have never been able to replace frames which I have become accustomed to and like. The continual style changes are annoying. 10107. uzmakk - 6/30/2004 6:36:41 AM I think I'll take a week off in the near future, come back to the Mote, and kick Jexster's ass from thread to thread. 10108. judithathome - 6/30/2004 6:42:36 AM Hey, Uz!! Just come back for any reason you might choose. We've missed you!!
I just spent two amd a half hellacious hours waiting in my car for a tow from Triple A. My car just gave up the ghost on my way to the bank and luckily I had my cell phone with me. And a good book! 10109. robertjayb - 6/30/2004 6:48:06 AM Fine British engineering let you down again, eh judith? Was it the electrics? Inspector Morse bitched about the electrics in his beloved Jag.
Give it up, dear. Go Japanese. 10110. Absensia - 6/30/2004 6:53:36 AM Bummer, Judith. That's a long time to wait but it's good you had your cell and AAA. I was talking to someone the other day about how much we take our cells for granted now, and what did we do when we didn't have them. 10111. judithathome - 6/30/2004 7:37:26 AM Robert, I think it was...it smelled like roasting ears, anyhow. (corn, for the uninitiated)
Abs, yes, I resisted the cell for so long and still only use it to call Keoni and for him to call me. But I was thrilled to have it today. 10112. OhioSTOPAS - 6/30/2004 7:24:06 PM Road trip! Off to the Northeast to visit family, returning on the 11th or 12th. Have a good Fourth, everyone! 10113. Magoseph - 6/30/2004 9:43:16 PM Well, thank you, Ohio, watch out for the holiday drivers.
10114. Magoseph - 6/30/2004 10:02:03 PM
Happy Fourth of July! 10115. robertjayb - 7/1/2004 1:02:36 AM Happy Canada Day, eh! 10116. Magoseph - 7/1/2004 1:45:14 AM Oui, oui, absolument!
La Fête du Canada 10117. Macnas - 7/1/2004 4:28:46 PM I am so damn tired, I wish I could just lock the door and go to sleep. 10118. PelleNilsson - 7/1/2004 4:38:14 PM Have a nice cuppa and all will be well. 10119. Macnas - 7/1/2004 4:49:03 PM I'm going to hold off until 9.00, then drink 2 large mugs of my canteen's godawful low viscosity tar they call "coffee"
