Good to see you back. Doesn't sound like a fun day for you though.

11296. neato - 9/5/2004 7:43:32 PM

Hello Mago. Sorry about your loss.

Hi Mago. I'm very sorry about your loss.

While we're showing babies, here's my gorgeous little grand-daughter.
(Hope this works).

This was taken an hour after she was born.

11300. OhioSTOPAS - 9/5/2004 7:59:33 PM

What a cute baby?

But . . . my New Zealand girlfriend is a GRANDMOTHER?

11301. OhioSTOPAS - 9/5/2004 8:00:29 PM

That was supposed to be an exclamation point after "baby"!

Make it two: What a cute baby!!

11302. SnowOwl - 9/5/2004 8:03:58 PM

Thank you! I might be a grandmother, Ohio, but in terms of youthfulness I'm actually younger than any of my children, who were staid and middle-aged from birth.

11303. OhioSTOPAS - 9/5/2004 10:18:37 PM

Ha! Same here. I expect my immaturity to keep me young.

We're going to our neighbors for a little lunch. They are going on a road trip in their RV next month and we've bought a present for the guy...a Republican! no less...a travel bar. It's a carrying case with two martini shakers, four stainless cups, ice tongs, long handled spoons, and room for the bottle of Bomabay Sapphire gin we got him. The vermouth and olives will have to travel seperate.

drop an A out of Bombay

11306. Absensia - 9/6/2004 3:13:26 AM

Beautiful, Snow.

11307. PelleNilsson - 9/6/2004 3:18:51 AM

Indeed. But then Swedish babies usually are. I, for example, was almost as beautiful then as I am now.

11308. Bill Russell - 9/6/2004 3:27:21 AM

Still bald, eh?

11309. arkymalarky - 9/6/2004 5:15:22 AM

Love the adorable pictures!

Glad to see you back, Mags.

Judith,

That travel bar sounds super. A Republican should appreciate it. ;-)

Hi, everyone and thanks to Neato, Snow, Ano, and Arky. We are hurting and groaning, but we are now going back to our work in the garage, trying to fill up the dumpster to the brim with more junky items. Imagine, we had yesterday two neighbors asking us if we could let them put some things in that dumpster. Yeah, we said, come tomorrow after we have finished here.

11311. neato - 9/6/2004 9:40:49 PM

Nice of them to ask. Round here a dumpster is considered fair game - to put stuff in, or remove it.

11312. Macnas - 9/6/2004 9:45:14 PM

We paid 180 Euro for our last dumpster (or skip as we call them). A mate of mine asked if he could use it to get rid of a few things, so I sez grand, work away.

What did he put in it? an entire kitchen. My missus was none too pleased with either of us.

Just got back from an appointment that I lucked into at the doctor's office; someone cancelled...I got another steroid shot in my knee, which has been hurting like hell since Saturday. The last one I had was in April. So if this one works as well, I'll be a happy camper.

11314. arkymalarky - 9/7/2004 9:20:55 AM

I had a dentist appointment after school and I left a little early to get an allergy shot. Got to the dentist's chair and found out I wasn't getting the cleaning I thought I was getting, but I was supposed to have two teeth filled (an involved job replacing old fillings involving about an hour and a half and a lot of drilling.

I rescheduled. No way was I doing that this afternoon. So instead I spent a fun afternoon trying to help Dad clean up his computer. It wasn't as bad as Mose's, but it was very slow and he's got so much crap on it it's unreal. Not spyware and viruses, but stuff he wants to keep. If I'm as much of a packrat as my parents when I get that age I'm going to have two houses--one to live in and one to put stuff in.
