Exactly, Ulgine, how did that butler look?

You think Kerry looks like Lurch?
There's a Bush loyalty quiz, too.

'Your score is 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. You can't stand George W. Bush. The mere mention of his name makes you cringe, and every time you hear him speak, it makes you want to jump out the window. You will vote for Anyone But Bush.'

Sorry, that link was wrong....
Bush loyalty quiz

There's some resemblance. I wonder now when Pelle watched that show. Actually, I don't even know when it was aired.

By the way, why aren't you watching the debate?

11601. Ulgine Barrows - 10/9/2004 4:21:56 AM

Er...I forgot.

What pisses me off, is having absolutely no information on the local election candidates. All I see is ad signs in yards; well, some of the candidates mail stuff out. It's all ads. I guess I'm supposed to vote for the prettiest ad.

I feel so uninformed.

11602. Magoseph - 10/9/2004 4:28:08 AM

You still have time to find out about them.

11603. Ulgine Barrows - 10/9/2004 4:58:03 AM

How do you go about finding info on your local candidates?

11604. Ulgine Barrows - 10/9/2004 4:58:49 AM

Oh and thanks, I caught the last part of the debate.

11605. Magoseph - 10/9/2004 4:59:10 AM

Call them.

11606. Ulgine Barrows - 10/9/2004 5:21:38 AM

It's that simple? I find their numbers where?

11607. Ulgine Barrows - 10/9/2004 5:34:37 AM

Where do I even find out who is on the ballot?

11608. Ulgine Barrows - 10/9/2004 5:47:07 AM

The past elections....

I get in that voting booth, and I see local elections questions that I haven't heard about, before. Feels like betting on a horse by name, in some respects.

Do you feel lucky?

11609. Magoseph - 10/9/2004 6:04:31 AM

Listen to your local radio station and read your local paper, As for me, yesterday I walked into the local Kerry headquarters and they have all the information on the local candidates; you can also walk into the local Bush headquarters and get their presentation of the local ticket.

It so happens that in a big election like this, both parties have these headquarters all over the place.

11610. Ulgine Barrows - 10/9/2004 6:21:44 AM

Well tra-la-la, it so happens, I've managed to find offense where none was intended.

The local paper, the local radio station, DUH.
Why did I not think of that! They're not biased, and they present each candidate equally well.

11611. Magoseph - 10/9/2004 1:33:14 PM

I believe you're correct in your analysis. The local papers just don't editorialize in the fashion the majors do. They evidently regard the dissemination of information as their prime responsibility.

Time for lunch! I think I'll have a tomato salad with basil and mozzarella.

11613. Magoseph - 10/11/2004 1:04:44 PM

Hello, everyone. How was your weekend?

11614. neato - 10/11/2004 1:21:41 PM

Mine was good. I worked both days- lovely overtime rates at the dear old library.
