Does the Mote clock run on GMT or is it NZ time? We're into daylight savings now, and that might be making a difference (says she who knows nothing and doesn't even notice the time stamsp).

The Swedes are arriving on January 3, so we're delaying our major Christmas celebration until then. We'll just have a small thing on Christmas Day - we might even go to a pub for our dinner. The Aussies are coming over at the same time, but they'll be here for a weekend next month as well.
And we've had the lovely news that our Aussie kids are expecting! At least this one is going to be close enough to home so that we'll be able to see him/her fairly regularly.
In fact, there's a bit of a price war going on with the airlines here at present and they're saying that we'll be able to get tickets to Oz for $1 after Christmas (they want bums on seats). Now, I'm on a buying binge and I want some advice. Do you think this bedding is somewhat too much, too outrageous? My husband looked at it and all he could say was--it matches your hair and goes well with the furniture.

The higher the thread count the more luxurious feeling the bedding.
No way would I ever routinely make up a bed with that many decorative pillows on it. And if you don't have a specific place to put them when they're not on the bed --- eg when you're in it --- then they'll end up on the floor and covered in pet hair and/or carpet fuzz.
But, then, not everyone is as...ahem, "casual" about making their beds as I am. ;->
