Ali, I needed more to follow your bantering about with Ulgine than talking with you two, actually--but thanks for asking. though.

12288. Magoseph - 11/25/2004 1:31:22 PM

Less four degrees Celsius here now--snow coming later, so they say. Oh, boy, that will take care of the Thai food for me today! I think that I will have to put my snow-suit on when I take my morning walk as soon there is light.

12289. Macnas - 11/25/2004 2:13:49 PM

What is a snow suit? Is it a padded puffy affair?

12290. Magoseph - 11/25/2004 4:41:00 PM

Yes, usually one piece with a hood attached--my snowsuit is black satin quilted, not puffy, sharp-looking. I put it on for my walk earlier, but had to come back and just put my usual attire. The snow suit is really for temperature around 0 degree Fahrenheit.

12291. Macnas - 11/25/2004 4:48:25 PM

I thought as much Mago, I could not imagine you out and about in anything less than elegant.

12292. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 11/25/2004 4:55:13 PM

Think tropical . . .

Thank you, Mac, I try to look well-dressed and well-groomed, that's true--rather a lifelong foible of my part, I admit.

Whiz, you made me jump out of my seat.

12295. christipeters - 11/25/2004 6:11:14 PM

Jen - heh. Turkey breast cutlets is what I ended up buying. The night before Thanksgiving is a bad time to shop for Thanksgiving dinner. My choices were whole turkey, turkey legs, turkey wings, or turkey breast cutlets.

12296. wonkers2 - 11/26/2004 12:18:48 AM

To rinse or not to rinse (the turkey), that is the question. (We rinsed.)

12297. wonkers2 - 11/26/2004 12:31:55 AM

w2, the missus, the Capn'n and our lawyer son had a nice dinner in Jexter's neck of the woods on Sunday at a place appropriately called "Chow." Very good soup and salmon cakes.

12298. Magoseph - 11/26/2004 4:18:33 PM

How y’all doin’ this mornin'? Are you still stuffed to the gills? Will you be eating leftovers today? Will some of you fight the throngs at the mall? I'm staying right here. I have: The Da Vinci Code, a Thai Salmon Shu Shi dish, and no one home until this afternoon.

12299. christipeters - 11/26/2004 4:35:29 PM

We are semi-stuffed and have no leftovers. I used mesquite marinade on the turkey cutlets and grilled them. YUM! The apple pie made with Splenda turned out terrific. It is so delicious that my pumpkin-pie-only daughter ate some apple pie too.

I will definitely NOT be fighting the throngs at the mall. I can't stand shopping when it's crowded. In fact, I am loving online shopping.

12300. Magoseph - 11/26/2004 8:32:14 PM

Do you know anything about Vegemite, the Australian spread? Have you ever eaten it? If so, how and why?

That mesquite marinade, Christi, did you make it yourself?

12301. PelleNilsson - 11/26/2004 8:36:49 PM

Please don't get people started on Vegemite and Marmite. Spam is only a step behind.

12303. Magoseph - 11/26/2004 8:51:27 PM

RS, I have moved your post to the Movies & TV where it should be. Please, do come back and tell us something about yourself.

Pelle, I'm a vegetarian, mainly for health reasons. I understand that Vegemite is a by-product of brewer's yeast and a good source of B vitamins. I'm just curious about it, that's all.

12304. PelleNilsson - 11/26/2004 8:58:01 PM

Vegemite

12305. Magoseph - 11/26/2004 9:20:10 PM

Thank you, Pelle, but I would like to know what people who use Vegemite think of it, you know. I have just sent you an e-mail at the address you have in International.

12306. PelleNilsson - 11/26/2004 9:26:59 PM

Thanks.

12307. Redemption Song - 11/26/2004 9:27:53 PM

Really, Magoseph. Stop the pressure. All in good time.
