That's right, it's only Saturday and, of course, you're still in Texas.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

12330. arkymalarky - 11/28/2004 4:57:18 AM

Thanks 3i3b. Hope you had a good one.

Ours was very average. Average food, average company--everything ok but not very exciting.

12331. wonkers2 - 11/28/2004 8:19:52 AM

Next time you're in Seattle, try Cactus for elegant Mexican food, reasonably priced.

12332. arkymalarky - 11/28/2004 7:05:52 PM

Sounds like you've been having a great trip, Wonk. The funeral sounded like a wonderful tribute to such an accomplished man.

Jenerator or Judith or anyone else who knows the Dallas metroplex well - I'm looking for recommendations for a hair salon that is very very very good at makeovers. Any suggestions?

12334. judithathome - 11/28/2004 9:54:25 PM

Jen will have to help you there...I haven't a clue.

12335. PelleNilsson - 11/28/2004 10:44:44 PM

What about Ye Olde Rusty Scissor on Sycamore Boulevard?

12336. arkymalarky - 11/28/2004 10:51:08 PM

Ye Schmee.

In the South it's always names like Southern Hairitage or Out Back Hair.

12337. arkymalarky - 11/28/2004 10:52:47 PM

My beautician here is very good at makeovers. She's done Mose up for formal occasions several times (proms, weddings, etc).

12338. judithathome - 11/28/2004 11:32:30 PM

Good excuse for Christi to come see you, Arky!

Don;t forget Hair Affair. We have a unisex hair salon around here called Venus & Mars.

12339. arkymalarky - 11/29/2004 2:46:13 AM

That's right!

And my personal favorite: Hair it Is.

And no, Pelle, we aren't making these up.

12340. judithathome - 11/29/2004 3:08:09 AM

There are millions of tacky hair salon names...Kut'nKurl, Hair Today, Shear Beauty, Snip and Clip, and on and on.

I like one with a neon sign that says only SHAMPOO and has blinking bubbles all over it.

12341. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 11/29/2004 3:40:31 AM

Here's your typical Texas hair salon, Pelle . . .

12342. arkymalarky - 11/29/2004 5:30:20 AM

In the South in particular, though, they play on their pronunciation of words a lot.

12343. wonkers2 - 11/29/2004 8:31:24 AM

Cap'n Dirty sez, "Tomorrer, w2, The Cap'n an the Missus'r celebratin' their 35th anniversary. Not bad fer a menage a trois!"

12344. Macnas - 11/29/2004 9:49:30 AM

Hope youse all had a good thanksgiving and that.

12345. Magoseph - 11/29/2004 10:34:29 AM

We managed to ignore the festivities just fine here, Mac. We plan to do the same the last seven days of the year because we need to concentrate on Flexy's health.

12346. Magoseph - 11/29/2004 10:38:07 AM

Toys

12347. Magoseph - 11/29/2004 10:40:06 AM

Again.
