I'll be thinking of you arky.

14376. arkymalarky - 3/31/2005 8:42:06 AM

You're a dear, Mac.

The most fascinating thing about all this to me is 1) how many women I know who've had them that I had no idea about before now and 2) how excited those who had what I have (very large and numerous fibroid tumors) are when I tell them. The first words I hear from them are "You'll feel so much better. You'll feel like a new woman." I'm ready for that part.

14377. Macnas - 3/31/2005 12:00:40 PM

Those tumors are very common, I know 3 women who have had them. All of them never regret going for surgery.

Wish me happy birthday guys. Not sure I'm thrilled about it when I think of how many decades ago I enjoyed turning 22!

14379. PsychProf - 3/31/2005 2:28:17 PM

Very neat Wabbit.

14380. alistairconnor - 3/31/2005 2:29:03 PM

Will you allow me to give you a hug.
You're as old as you feel etc...

14381. thoughtful - 3/31/2005 3:02:59 PM

Hugs are always welcome!

14382. Magoseph - 3/31/2005 3:17:22 PM

I wish you many, many more birthdays in good health and happiness, dear thoughtful.

14383. PelleNilsson - 3/31/2005 3:28:26 PM

Congratulations, thoughtful!

14384. wabbit - 3/31/2005 3:36:41 PM

Prof, I'm not sure who you mean, Arky or thoughtful or both, but I'm flattered by the confusion either way!

Happy Birthday thoughtful!

14385. thoughtful - 3/31/2005 3:47:31 PM

Thanks Mags, Pelle and wabbit.
I guess bdays are the price we pay for staying alive, no?

I was spared this trial because my eldest son’s birthday is the day before mine—when he was very small, I gave up having birthday celebrations since he couldn’t understand why the fun didn’t concern him.

14387. arkymalarky - 3/31/2005 4:39:38 PM

OHOHOHOH! HAPPY BIRTHDAY THOUGHTFUL!!!!!!

Cap'n Dirty sez, "Thoughtful's entitled to a happy birthday moonlight cruise on the Tomater Sloop!"

14391. thoughtful - 3/31/2005 6:29:55 PM

would that i were 30 again!

Hubby was so nice to me today...my nickname in college was "little kid". This a.m. he said, "No more 'little kid'...now it's 'old fart'!"

What a guy!

14392. arkymalarky - 3/31/2005 6:41:07 PM

Haha! Ain't love grand?

14393. Magoseph - 3/31/2005 7:45:17 PM

At the dentist's office, a woman I know asked me if I was having a senior moment when I stumbled upon the carpet there—Then later, someone I raised said, “You better be careful with floor rugs, you might have to take the big dirt nap that way.” When I said, “Well, I hope that you don’t refer to me as your old lady, he answered, “Not yet.”

14394. thoughtful - 3/31/2005 8:03:32 PM

Mom told me of how upset she was when she was crossing the parking lot and some young fellow in a car yelled at her, "Get out of the way you old biddy!"

It was the first time that anyone called her an old biddy. Man did that bite!
